The Five Nobles (Now accepting)

This roleplay idea was originally Tokkawillrocku's, but they have decided not to join this time around but have still given us permission to use their idea. The transfer process was done by TokototheEnd. We have restarted the story along with a few adjustments and are now accepting anyone who wants to join.

Long ago, before the planet Earth was formed, there was a peace-filled planet called Orchidia. The planet resembled the soon-to-be Earth greatly, with large coniferous forests and babbling books and streams that run into crystal clear rivers and lakes. Great valleys with huge, rolling hills aren't unusual in the land. Even the inhabitants of this planet greatly resemble humans (though they have a greater variety in hair and eye color). It is here that the Five Nobles were born and it was the Nobles who first astounded the land. Each Noble demonstrated a power, a power that belonged solely to them, at a young age. As they grew and developed, so did their powers. The five protected the planet for many years, building a strong sibling-like bond that helped them in many situation. However, there comes a time when even the best are conquered. This time came when the Nobles were in their late teens. A dark evil arose and the Five spent many days, soon turning into many weeks, fighting it. The entire fight lasted up to a month total. Finally, the Nobles were forced to use the entirety of their powers, thus sacrificing their lives. Despite their sacrifices, the Evil was only forced into a deep sleep. Fortunately, the people of Orchidia managed to dispell the Noble's souls far away from the original site of their battle- to the planet Earth, millions of light years away. The five souls were sent into five newborn infants at different times. These infants, coincidentally, had all been fated to die within the month from some problem or another.

Now it's been fifteen years. The Evil is beginning to stir, sending out Daemons - Orchidian resembling creatures with a fragment of The Evil's power- to cause chaos in certain areas of Earth. It's up to the reincarnations of the Nobles to stop the Daemons and, soon, the newly awakened Evil. This time, however, they may have some help from some brave Orchidians who had arrived with them, memories intact, to help the new Nobles and inform them of their duties..

Rules
1~ Do I have to say it? Yeah, I do. No Godmoding
2~ Be nice! Don't ignore other players! And don't kill them unless they leave or you get their permission to do so by talking to them about it in PM.
3~ We need bad guys and good guys. But I don't want a whole crap load of normal Orchidians. 4 or 5 along with the Nobles are good. Daemons:...Same, just to make it fair...maybe a few more since I do love bad guys.
5~ Please use good grammar and have at least three sentences per post. Yes, Dialogue counts as sentences...but don't make your posts entirely dialogue.
6~ No explicit sexual content. Flirting is fine, but I do not want like five posts(ten between the two of you) of your characters making out. Just say you did it, they can say they did it as well and we'll believe you.
7~ When I say 'memories intact' I mean you remember your life on Orchidia. You don't essentially have to have known the Nobles. You can if you want, I'm just saying.
8~ Protectors only: You can have one power(Maximum of two extra powers) -not counting Locate or whatever I named it- to have. If you think of something else that might make it a little...better for Protectors don't hesitate to be a little birdy and tell me x3!

Powers

Darkness- Defensive. When mastered, this person can travel from shadow to shadow, create shields and force fields from shadows, create and freeze a person by stepping on their shadow.

Light- Offensive. When mastered, this person can expand light from an extremely minute source, create weapons of all sorts from light, and temporarily blind their enemies.

Sight- Either/Both. When mastered, this person can 'see' into the depths of a persons soul-essentially seeing what is most troubling them-, and be able to create illusions and distract their opponents.

Sound- Either/Both. When mastered, this person can hear another person's thoughts(only hear), and send out a wide range of soundwaves, from a small annoying buzz to something that will make your head explode from your eardrums bursting. This must be worked up to.

Heat- Offensive. The ability to intensify or lower the heat of anything the user wants. They can instantly freeze things, or boil and melt them with just a thought. Requires great inner balance and lots of practice to control properly.

Protector's Powers

Healing- Minor to major stuff. Broken bones, cuts that wouldn't require stitches, etc. Basically, if you have to go to the emergency room to treat it, the Protector's can't fix it. They can lessen the pain a bit, but not by much. It's a common power, but rare for anyone to be able to heal anything larger than a sprained something or other.

Blade- Rare power. The person can shape their hand into almost any type of blade( the blade can not be longer nor heavier than the weilder). However, if something happens to the blade, then the persons' hand is damaged as well.

Locate- This is a power all -ordinary- Orchidians have. To be able to tell, roughly, where they are and how far away their destination is.

Speed- The ability of Super speed and flexibility. This is not blur like super speed, it allows it's user to move at about sixty MPH in a straight build up run, and forty MPH in a more contained area. - Not many Orchidians possess this useful skill.

--Also! The Nobles have dragons. However, to blend in with society, the dragons are usually small, though they can grow, and look like stuffed animals. When in their actual form, they can not be seen by humans.--

--If you want your siblings to be related in some way to another character that's cool. I.e., a Noble Protector can be related to one of the Nobles, Nobles can be related, etc.--

Explosion-Exactly what it says. Using a small amount of energy, you can send out orbs that, upon contact with an inanimate object, explode. Orbs are fairly slow...

Levitation- Daemons can make themselves fly. They can throw inanimate objects without lifting a finger. Inanimate objects such as cars, rocks...building parts.

Shape Shifting- Hair/Eye color, eye shape...But one thing stays the same, like height. Or nose size.

Rosette can be a good listener, very patient, and always views a person as an individual, not just another passerby in her life. She isn't scared easily, because she doesn't fear much. A good natured person and somewhat of a dreamer.

Personality: If there's any a word to describe Fall it's attitude. She's the kinda person that wouldn't take crap from a fifty foot tall demon snarling in her face. Fall's got great talk, and a whole lotta bite to back it up.

Personality: Matt is very outspoken and is not very careful with what he says. He isn't afraid to stick up for what he believes in and would do anything for his friends.

One day when he was two months they took him off his machines with his parent's permission. As they checked him they realized that he had healed and he was now a healthy baby boy.

Personality: Despite being full of energy and playful all the time, David isn't very aggressive. This of course changes if you're doing something that he doesn't like... Despite him standing up for the weak and trying to be fair all the time, he isn't a very considerate or compassionate person. As long as everything's fair, he's fine with how things are.

Power: Heat of course.

Appearance: Average height for his age, but a bit more slim than most. He's got some muscle but not enough to be labeled a jock or anything. He's got light brown hair, that's cut a little bit longer than most guy's; enough for his bangs to cover his right eye. He has the tips dyed a bright red.
History: As a baby, he was born with a 107 degree fever. The fact that he was born at all was a surprise to the doctors. Directly after birth they tried everything to cool him down, but his temperature kept rising, until the fever finally broke at an impossible 110 degrees.

Personality: Alec is a rude young man who can't help but put someone down....as he's saving their life. He's very protective of anyone getting hurt and he can walk into a room and if he sees someone being beat up then he'll save them and ask questions later, if he realizes that the person deserves the beating that he's getting then he'll just leave. He is constantly thinking and can be lazy every now and then. Alec is intelligent, harsh, quiet, cold and he has quite a bit of self-control and deep down he has quite a bit of empathy for everyone around him and that is why he is so protective.

History: After the incident on Orchidia Alec decided that he couldn't allow something that horrible to happen again and so he volunteered to become a noble protector.

Personality: Tristan is kind, social, smart and flirtatious. But while he doesn't mind talking or playing with anyone, he never seems to let anyone in. He has a strong sense of right and wrong and he is a pacifist. He can be considered rather lazy, but when he decides somethings needs to be done about something then he'll probably just do it himself. But even with all of those traits he takes his job seriously and checks up on the nobles every night and morning.
Power: Healing.(and locate.) But unlike other protectors he locates a person's conscience and can see their true name.
Appearance: Tristan 5' 11" and 167 lbs.
History: Tristan decided to sign up as one of the Noble protectors who would be transferred to Earth when he was young. While he is the oldest Noble Protector, he pretty much acts like the youngest with how immature he can be sometimes. He's never had an actual real friend on earth, even though it seems like everyone at the school where he and the nobles attend know him.
Other: His locate is powerful enough where he can detect a person's conscience and spiritual health instead of just their physical form.

Age: 15
Personality: Always playful and energetic, she keeps an bright outlook on most things in her life. She has a hard time fitting in with school groups, though, as she tends to be a very extroverted person. However, she only lets people see a certain side of her; there are parts of her that no one has ever even gotten to know.
Power: Healing
Appearance: She has long golden-brown hair to about her waist, kind of like Horo from "Spice and Wolf." Search for her picture at your own risk. Her eyes are a strange shade of red, as well, and they sometimes turn a purple-ish color. She is a little bit short for her age, but she isn't growing yet. She also doesn't have a very full figure, but isn't "flat" by any means.
History: Her daddy's in the army, which results in her family moving a lot. She's pretty athletic due to this, as well, and tends to be very competitive. Her family's been tough on her, as well, as she's the only girl. She and David are closely connected, in ways to be explained in the RPG.

Orose-Shinri is described as a sad person and rarely smiles. She hates liars and will get enraged if someone lies to her. Smart, but distant, it's hard to understand her sometimes.

Personality: Sade is kind, social, flirty and caring. She's not very intelligent or witty, but she does get decent grades and that is good enough for her.
She isn't a hard worker and she can be rather whiny sometimes if she doesn't get her way.
Susan is cold, intelligent and heartless, but she can act very well. If Susan decides that something is going to be done then she will do everything in her power to make sure that it gets done.
Power:Super Speed and Levitation
Appearance:Sade is 5'3 and she weighs 115lbs.
History: Susan was created by evil and she grew up around other Daemons until she was three. The people who made her realized that she would never be able to blend in with humans and be able to kill the Nobles and so they split her personality in to two different branches before they sent her to earth. Sade was adopted into an orphanage at the age of three and eventually she ended up going to the same school as the Nobles. Susan has been training for years so she will be able to kill the Nobles and their protectors, while Sade has become friends with a good bunch of the school and has even become the class president.

Other: Susan and Sade are both split personalities of each other and Sade is not aware that Susan exists while Susan knows about Sade. Neither of them can control when their personalities will switch and now their personalities are starting to combine

Personality: Hytka is very independent. She is also very clever, but isn't as cruel as a Daemon should be.

He's known to not be very considerate, even to those of his own kind. Only once had he let someone get close to him. And they turned against him. So he doesn't respond well to friendly gestures. He's easily bored, and doesn't like people who talk alot much. It's very, very hard to impress him, and only fighting can truly amuse him. Especially when his opponent is seeing his abilities for the first time. He only seems to be truly having fun when he's causing another confusion and pain.

Power: Rystera's a master illusionist. No, more than that. Among the Daemons he's been known as the 'Magician'. Rystera's power can better be described as the power to 'create'. Rystera holds the ability to get inside someone's mind, and cut off their senses to the world around them. And he can create a new world around them, where they see, hear, and even feel everything around them. But this he hardly ever uses, as it can cost him if he uses it too much. Because it uses his own life-energy to perform this. So he usually sticks with average illusions, linking them to a person's senses, (If he knew the person very well, he could inflict real physical damage. Though he never gets close enough to anyone for that to happen) and only those of his choosing can see them. And also all the other average attributes that come with being a Daemon. Though with his abilities, he has no real defense system. So he's not exactly amazing with close combat in battle. Just as good as any average Daemon, nothing special.

History: Rystera's never really been one to make friends. He never had a family as far as he knows. Over the years he developed his once pathetic abilities into something much more interesting than a simple card trick. The one thing that most don't approve of, is that he developed them, practicing on other Daemons. Though he does show much promise as a Daemon. He's definitely above average. It's too bad he hardly cares half the time. If he actually went to his full extent, he could be alot more than what he makes himself. But, Rystera's never been one to show off. He's fine where he is, and wants no more power than he has for time being. Odd style for a Daemon, but some think he may be hiding something in that dark side of his.

And here is the explanation from hey_mai_Zukos_mine about the dragons. =)

They're just animal companions to aide the Nobles in their journey should they ever need them for a great battle in future times. Right now they are stuffed animals, when the Nobles fully awaken, and prove themselves worthy enough, the dragons will show them their true form as, well...Actual dragons, not stuffed animals. This can only happen upon returning to Orchidia though. Because the dragons can't survive in the environment that Earth provides. The dragons will have a mental connection with their riders.

Ok people so I don't really want this RPG to die, so if we could somehow recruit a few people to be villains or take the Shadow/Wise Noble then we can start.

If we have to then I'll take Sarii, but we still need a few more villains.

I'll take a Daemon and Sarii, if that's okay. I can have their char. sheets up sometime tonight.

Cerise looked at herself in the mirror and frowned. She didn't think she looked that good, but there was nothing to be done. Sighing, she flashed a smile, ran a brush through her hair and picked up her school items.

She sat down at the breakfast table and listened to her family talk about the news and such. Cerise was in a good mood and was quickly out her door. She had always preferred to walk then getting a ride or taking the bus. The fresh air was calming and enjoyable.

But as Cerise wandered onto school, she didn't notice that a green-haired girl was watching her all the way there.

"We'll get you nobles. You can be sure of that."

"Not if we sit here all day listening to you talk to yourself." Rystera scoffed, walking up behind the Daemon with the light green hair. "Orose-Shinri," He rolled up the white sleeves of the dress shirt he wore as he stepped up beside her, crossing his arms as they watched the brunette girl make her way to school. That's one of the Nobles? Well...I guess I can't really judge her potential just yet... Something else caught his attention. It was a sweet, and tamed scent. Lavender? He gave what could've been classified as a dark grin.

This could prove to be interesting.

Fall leaned up against the brick wall, staring up at the sky with liquid amber eyes. Beside her, the light green messenger bag lay on the ground, though it was empty. She hadn't gotten much sleep last night, but she was in a fairly good mood today. For a change. She had a strange feeling something was going to happen today. Of course, it could've just been that she had gotten up too early. She didn't feel like going to class today, so Fall left early to get here before anyone else. And now she relaxed in her place behind one of the school's buildings. She'd be here for awhile. Her life was beginning to feel robotic. Like she was on some type of human auto pilot, and oh, how she wished something would change. Even a small aspect, just something new to stare at in her plain life.

Rosette walked along the black pavement, adoring how the morning light glistened on it. It had rained last night, but had given the world a new beauty. Somewhere in the forestry around her, birds sang sweet rehearsed songs in perfect synchronization. Her neighbourhood had yet to awaken, and the world around her seemed calm. She had this odd feeling, a weird kind of surreal. And as the slight breeze caught her raven hair, she was oblivious that someone somewhere could smell the lavender scent the wind had carried from her long hair as she slowly made her way to school at a relaxed walking pace.

Orose-Shinri looked over at her fellow daemon and then back to Cerise, all with a blank look.

"Rystera what do you want? Unlike you I'm trying to find all the Nobles."

Cerise kept on walking, not knowing the two daemons who weren't too far away. She made it to school and saw it was still early. She didn't want to go in yet, but Cerise felt weird standing outside the school alone.

"Who's to say I wasn't doing just that?" Rystera said, his voice calm and smooth, looking down at her from the corner of his eye, before looking out to the side. The sun had only just begun it's journey into the sky above him. The time is approaching quickly...I've been waiting for this moment. He looked back to Orose-Shinri, his expression clearly unimpressed with her. I hope she isn't like other young Daemons... He thought to himself, imagining fighting against the Nobles with a bipolar, hyperactive murder-princess. But Rystera wasn't one to judge so quick, so he looked back to the sun. He would find out soon enough.

Rosette walked along a curve, turning her way into the school grounds, there were few here. The sky was still a little dark. The buses must not have arrived yet, and most students preferred that form of travel. "And to miss such a mystical morning..." She thought aloud, looking to the colourful sky above her with silver-grey eyes. The light from the early sun practically painted across the light clouds with sherbert shades. It was like Rosette, to pause midway to her destination and smell the roses. She was one to appreciate the wonder of things, no matter what they may be.

"Well why don't you find them somewhere else," Orose-Shinri told him, not wanting to be bothered. She had seen two of them so far. That meant three of them were still left to spot. And once Orose-Shinri had them all memorized, she would begin her plan to kill them all.

"Touchy, I see." Rystera said, unblinking. Though he didn't budge. He was told he had to try to get along before he was sent off. He hoped that was good enough an effort, since it probably wouldn't happen again. He himself had been following one of them for awhile. Growing boredom was probably the only reason he even spoke to the green-haired one. He was sure that eventually this Noble, Sarii from the looks of her, would lead him to the others. What's the point in locating them all, this form was so much more efficient. Considering they were destined to meet. Sarii...Shall you lead me to the others? He wondered to himself, though he knew the answer. Lately he'd been spending his time messing around with humans in the asylum, and getting a few locked in for claiming to be seeing all sorts of things. It was his form of chaos. Driving humans insane, all the while keeping a good distance. He had spotted the raven-haired one on his way to claim the mind of yet another. Immediatly he knew she was one of them. He'd been keeping an eye on her ever since. He was patient, unlike most. And the time was nearing, he wouldn't fight her as she was now. He wanted to be against them when it proved to be more of a challenge. If he took her out now, or if anyone other Daemon did for that matter, it might ruin his chances of ever taking on the group as a whole. And honestly, that sounded so much more amusing than picking them off one by one before they even knew they were capable of fighting back.

He turned and left, as silently as he came. He had her schedule memorized by now. Though hers varied as she dallied often. She should be on her way to school now, or perhaps just arriving. He usually didn't follow her that far. But where else might she meet the other Nobles? Unless of course they were older than her. But it was just as likely as them being younger. So, he made his way to the building, keeping to the shadows to blend in as just another plain and simple human.

Alec/Tristan

"Why do I have to do it again?" Tristan complained as he sat against a tree in front of his school, having a pleasant moment of silence before Alec came up and ruined it with his demands. "You make me do this everyday, and it's almost always the same."


"Shut up and do your job. Surprisingly you are the best at locating out of all the protectors and thus it falls on you to track them. Besides it only takes you two minutes if you aren't lazy." Alec replied in an annoyed tone as he looked down at Tristan.


"Fine, fine I'll do it now." Tristan said as he closed his eyes and concentrated. "Sarii....on her way to school, appears to be in no harm. Kena....standing in front of the school, appears to be in no harm. Nat....sitting behind the school alone. Appears to be in no harm but she is most likely skipping again, the naughty girl." Tristan said with a smile, knowing that Alec was rolling his eyes in front of him without having to look. "Ran....appears to be on his way to school, also safe. Desta.....on his way to school...also safe." Tristan said before opening his eyes to see the satisfied smile of Alec.

Rosette cleared her mind of her thoughts on the sky, and turned to begin walking again. But...She turned around, having the feeling that something was here that shouldn't be. She calmed upon seeing it was just another student. Or so she assumed. They looked young, though she couldn't recall ever seeing them around school. She gave a small wave. "New here?" Rosette asked, at the sound of her voice she thought something changed in his eyes. But it was hard to be sure while he was in the shadow of the tree he stood under.

"Something like that..." Rystera answered, his voice quiet, and his expression unchanging. Fully focused on the being that stood maybe ten feet from him. He waved back, watching her smile politely and turn to continue on her way to the school. It made him sick to see the Noble so happy. He frowned, using every muscle in his body to keep from tearing apart the distance between them and change the expression on her face forever. Patience, it will all come together soon enough... He told himself, never moving his gaze.

Rosette continued walking. The one under the tree...Something felt so off about him. As rude as it was to think on those lines, her mind kept tracing back to it. Had she...Seen him somewhere before? She shook her head clear upon arriving on school grounds. Now was the time to focus on the schoolday ahead, not unproven suspicions. She took her usual seat outside on the fading bench. She still had time before classes started, and the morning would soon be gone. Why waste it waiting indoors with everyone complaining and rushing to get ready for lessons? She set her bag down beside her, and proceeded to fall into a sea of her own thoughts.

Behind the school Fall slid down the rough brick wall, into a sitting postition on the ground. She'd stay here late, as a precaution of not being seen coming out from behind the building by a student or teacher. Because honestly, she was running out of places to hide and on-the-spot excuses to give. With hours ahead of her, Fall surrendered to a world of daydreams.

He couldn't shake the strange feeling that was following him in the dawning light. Something was wrong today; he could tell. Maybe it was something in the air pressure, maybe it was the full moon? He didn't know. He wasn't very good at logic and reasoning, but he was good at interpreting his feelings, and right now, they were screaming that something was up, get out of Dodge, etcetera etcetera.
First thing that was off about his morning: His old dinosaur that he had buried under a bunch of other stuffies in his closet was on his bed this morning. Actually, it was on his chest, facing him. He figured that maybe it was one of his parents' jokes or something like that, but they weren't the joking kind, and as he found out later that morning, they had been out partying all night.
He was walking to school now, wearing a sleeveless shirt and pants. Normal pants, mind you; pants don't have sleeves to begin with. his arms were pretty normal; he had some muscle, but not much to show off. To be honest, he was only wearing the shirt because he was just so warm today...He woke up feeling like he had a fever, but decided to try school anyway, contrary to his usually lazy attitude.
As much as that bad feeling persisted him, he felt like he had to face it.
"...Whatever," he muttered, and walked a little bit faster, like he was trying to escape from the heavy thoughts that were entering his mind.

(I have an idea for a Guardian Protector. Does anyone care if I make one?)

Orose-Shinri appeared at the school soon. She looked around, trying to figure out where each Noble was. She saw the same brunette who was walking to school. Orose-Shinri smirked. She would do.

"Hello there," she said in a sweet, friendly voice.

Cerise blinked and looked up. Someone was talking to her. She looked fimilar and Cerise guessed she had seen her around school.

"Um....Hi. Do I know you?"

"Well we both go to this school, so maybe you have seen me," Orose-Shinri said, avoiding any type of lie. She hated liars.

Cerise nodded. Unless the need was dire.

"Oh that makes sense," Cerise said, relaxing.
