| “I don’t know if I should be afraid of your upcoming decision or by your wish of seeking some alternate way besides going to war. It’s rather unusual. However, I find it good and if you don’t mind me saying, I hope you Do NOT declare war. I think we should be more worried about the alien race that has recently landed in this planet, for we do not know of their intelligence, technology, ideals, anything about them and they could become a threat to literally, all the humans, all the factions.” Jack spoke serious and clear.
“Also” he stopped for a brief moment. “I must add that the University’s technology is highly efficient and it may cause your military’s downfall. I guess that what I’m trying to say is, think about it as much as possible so that you may achieve a wise decision. And finally, I have decided not to trade nor do any kind of deals with the factions involved in the war, if it breaks out.” A rather great idea, Jack thought off. The Pirates controlled the seas and they also produced a great deal of food and hand-made tools which have always been vital for the other factions. Denying such things that the Pirates offered could make some of the allied or main factions of the war to re-think their stance, that’s what Jack thought at least.
“Well, I guess I’ll leave now. Time to spread the word about this measure I’ll be taking. Good Bye Katrina.” He said before giving the signal to end the transmission.
“Mate, contact now the Peacekeeping forces please.” O’Malley instructed before taking another drink from his glass of wine.

| Beatrice returned to her desk and pressed a button on it.
"Marice can you please send in anyone walking around please?"
A couple minutes later eight people entered the room. Some of them shifted nervously, while others seem to be staring at Beatrice intensely.
"Listen up I have a job for you all. The Morgan Industries have contacted me. They want us to investigate the Human Hive, the Free Drones and the two alien factors. I assured them we will. So I want four teams of two to go to the four respected factors and then report back to me within five days, do you understand me."
All eight nodded and Beatrice waved a hand dismissing them.

| Simeon
Simeon walked down the hall, slightly frustrated that he was the one who had to leave the meeting. But another part of him was relieved. He liked the old Captain O' Malley, even if the rest of the Peacekeeping Forces did not. Jack was smart, and a fun guy to be around, from what Simeon had learned when they were both on the Unity ship. He had actually tried to get the Captain invited to his wedding, though Jack was busy with Nautilus issues at the time.
Within a few minutes, Simeon was in Solon's office and sitting in the main chair. "Hello Captain." Simeon replied after the intercom had turned on.

| “Well hello there Simeon!” Jack greeted Solon’s husband.
“Hey, I never did actually got to thank you for the invitation to your wedding. The sea hasn’t been treating me and my projects very well lately. But then again, when did it?” O’Malley smirked lightly at his small joke.

Simeon chuckled at Jack's humorous reply. "Yeah well, I'm sure she's kinder then the rest of this planet." He replied before his smile faded.
"Anyways, I'm guessing you didn't call just to apologize for not sending an RSVP."

| “Indeed my friend. My reason for calling your faction is to thoroughly talk with its leader, Solon. I have certain matters to discuss with him about this upcoming war.” Jack replied. “Now I don’t mean to be rude or anything, but could you please summon Solon? My time is short and quite valuable.” | |

"Solon's currently in an extremely important meeting that involves the future of our country. So you'll unfortunately just be getting me." Simeon replied.

Once the Pirate leader ended his communication, another one took its place. A strange unknown symbol filled her screen before that of an alien face replaced it. Katrina stared in shock at it for a few seconds before quickly trying to recover.
"Yes, can I...help you?" she asked the Usurper carefully.

| "You would be the leader of the human faction, Spartan Federation, correct?" Zorac asked the small human, his voice soundly strangely mechanical through the universal translator. His tentacles twitched in distaste.
"I have information that you should find enlightening," the Usurper stated.

| “In that case then, I guess you’ll have to deliver the message. The Nautilus Pirates do not want any part of this war and to help make some factions rethink their stance we have decided to stop all types of trades, escorts and any service previously given by us to those who participate in this upcoming. It’s something I must do for this world and for my people.” The Captain frowned a little after saying these words.
“Simeon, please deliver this message to your husband and make it clear as I have done. It was good talking to you again though. Till our next encounter.” Jack gave the signal to end the transmission, and so it was done.
“Now, contact the Morgan industries, the University and the Human Hive. Then replay the video that explains our deal.”
“Aye Captain!” After several minutes, a recording of the previous message was delivered to the 3 factions.

| Simeon
Simeon stood still in surprise as Jack cut the transmission. It was a surprise, that the Pirates were remaining neutral in this conflict. After a few minutes of contemplation, Simeon walked out of the office as he made his way back to the meeting room.

"And what information would that be?" Katrina asked cautiously, staring into the eyes of the creature. Or, at least what she hoped its eyes were.

| Zorac smirked, an altogether nasty-looking expression upon the alien's face. He spoke, "The University has allied with my faction's archenemy, the Manifold Caretakers. They will stop at nothing less than the total destruction of your faction." | |

| "We attempted to contact the University," Zorac stated shamelessly, "The Caretakers intercepted our signal. My network also informs that at this moment, our enemies are taking counsel together. It doesn't take a genius to realize what is happening." | |

| Solon/Simeon
".....So the Pirates are remaining neutral and they will support us in our operations of pressuring the Spartans and University into a peceful agreement." Simeon finished his quick summary of what his conversation with Captain Jack had been.
Solon sat next to his Husband as he looked at the representatives sitting at the table with him. The President was choosing on his pencil as he contemplated how the Peace Keepers should change their plans after this good news. A few thoughts rushed through his mind as Solon quickly tried to make up his mind. And within a few seconds, the President had.
"We're going to reject the Morgan Industries offer then, correct?" Solon asked as he looked at the other representatives.

"I see. Well then, I need some time to think over that information. Can I get back to you as soon as I reach a decision?" Katrina inquired.

| What passed as a smirk among Zorac's species appeared on his face for a second. Humans were too easy, like most lesser races. He spoke, "Of course. You should be able to reopen this feed when you make your decision, unless, of course, you decide to act against us. Do not take too long, though. The Caretakers are relentless."
With that said, they were disconnected. Zorac turned to one of his underlings and spoke, "Ready to the troops."
