In the far future of humanity, Earth is a cesspool. It is over-populated, extremely polluted, and on the verge of political, economical, and social collapse. In a last attempt to save the human race, the United Nations sends a colony spaceship named the Unity to the nearest inhabitable planet in the Alpha Centauri system. The journey will take fifty years to make, but the crew will be in a deep cryogenic sleep. Nearly five decades into their voyage, a malfunction occurs in the ship. The essential members of the crew are awakened, and repair the damage. However, an unknown assailant soon assassinates the captain. After this, the rest of the crew is awakened.

An investigation into the captain’s murder reveals nothing. The high-ranking members of the crew begin to distrust each other, and an outright civil war begins shortly after. Various members of the crew form many different factions. Finally, just as they are approaching the Planet, the Unity begins to break apart. The different factions each take their own Colony Pod and go down to the planet, just as the Unity is destroyed.

Five years have passed since then. The different factions have now formed their own governments across the Planet. While they are at peace for now, tensions are rising. The arrival of two alien factions also escalates this. War is on the loom; many know that. But who will emerge victorious? Will the remnants of humanity be united under one government, one leader? If so, will that by be force or by democracy? What will they do about the two alien factions?

Only time may tell what happens. But one thing is certain: after all is said and done, nothing shall be the same.

Hello everyone! Yes, this is an RP version of Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri strategy game. For those who did not play that game, this is pretty simple. You will claim a faction, make a leader for said faction (that fits the faction’s goals and personality) and play as that faction, through the leader. If you want, you may also make another character that is apart of the faction, but not a leader. Say, a soldier or doctor.

I suppose one could see this game as a type of tabletop RP. This will be different from most RPs, yes. Now, if you have any questions, please PM me. Onto the rules:

RULES:

1: Your character(s) cannot be perfect. They must have their own faults, flaws, ect. ect. Basically, no Mary Sues. Or any god-modding of any kind.
2: I will be the moderator, if sorts, of this RP. What I say goes. I can end wars, if necessary, decide when the Planet attacks, and many other various things.
3: For now, you many only take one faction. This could change in the future.
4: You may not take the city of another player, for example, without their permission. Battles can be waged without permission, but the players waging the battle, or myself can determine the winner.
5: If you have any questions, please PM me.
6: Romance is allowed. However, romance between leaders is unrealistic and unlikely. At best, they all are wary of each other and suspicious. At worst, they hate each other’s guts. Just wanted to make that clear.
7: The rating of this RP is rated T-M. With that in mind, please don’t be too bad with violence or gore. Romance is also included.
8: Say, “It’s a gift, and a curse.”, to get accepted. Bonus points if you know what show it’s from.
9: Please use proper grammar and spelling.
10: At least four sentences per post, please.
11: I can add to these rules or change them at any time, should I deem fit to do so.
12: Any of the factions that aren’t taken, shall be removed from the RP.

FACTIONS:

Spartan Federation

True to its namesake, the militaristic Spartan faction places the highest priority on strength, discipline and combat readiness. The head Unity Security Officer leads this faction, and led the initial mutiny aboard ship. Their disciplined society is naturally tolerant of martial law, and is not very democratic. However, it is run efficiently by its leader, and has made sure to always be prepared for war. Out of all the factions, this one probably is most prepared for war. However, it is lacking somewhat in the technology department. They are often at odds with the University.

Gaia's Stepdaughters

The Gaians are a faction that values living in ecological harmony with Planet and abhors ecological destruction, particularly after the way humanity left Earth. They are led by the Unity officer in charge of hydroponics. The Gaians' ecological safeguards allow them to avoid ecological damage and to capture native mind worms. The Gaians are pacifistic and freedom-loving, giving rise to their weaknesses: low troop morale and a lower tolerance for policing. The Gaians prefer Green economics and may not use a Free Market system, and look upon Planned economics as little better - which usually leads them to bitter hostilities with the Morganites, The Spartans, and The Hive.

University of Planet

A technocratic faction that values knowledge and scientific advancement above all else, including ethics. The University is led by Unity's chief science officer. Due to the University's lack of ethics in regards to research and experimentation, the faction suffers from more drones (undereducated people), representing the underclasses' discontent with and distrust of their amoral, well-educated leaders. The University researches into future technologies more than the other factions, and is better prepared to do so, but its army is weak and not all that prepared for war. However, their mass amount of weaponry and other useful technologies more than makes up for it.

Peacekeeping Forces

This faction works hard to keep the peace through diplomacy and maintaining the United Nations charter. They are led by the UNS Unity's Chief Medical Officer and third-in-command after its arrival in the Alpha Centauri system. The United Nations-style bureaucracy of the faction causes them to have a negative efficiency rating, but the Peacekeepers attract intellectual elites. The Peacekeepers favor democratic politics and may not use a police state government, and neither are they keen on religious dogma thanks to their liberal universalist tendencies. As a result, they tend to have hostilties with the Hive and the Believers, who favor these forms of government.

Human Hive

A totalitarian faction based on Collectivist principles. They are controlled by the former Executive Officer (second-in-command) for the Unity mission, who tends to see his/her people as fodder for sociological experimentation. The Hive may not use a Democratic government, and is wary of religious hyperbole. This may lead the Hive into conflict with the Peacekeeping, Gaian, and Believing factions. They use ‘nerve stapling’, a type of medical treatment that keeps their people in line if and when they riot. The other factions look down on the Human Hive because of this, seeing such a treatment barbaric.

Lord's Believers

A fundamentalist faction wary of secular technology, led by Unity's chaplain. Because the Believers feel that Chiron (the offical name of the planet) is their promised land, ecological tensions are increased. The Believers are also skeptical of secular technology, thus their research rate is decreased some. The Believers prefer a Fundamentalist government. Their founding base is named New Jerusalem. While pre-dominatly Christian, the Believers also have many other types of religions practiced in their government, though they are in a small minority.

Morgan Industries

A corporate capitalistic faction, led by a self-made mogul and diamond tycoon, whose company funded the Unity mission, and had a secret, private sleeping pod installed on the ship for him. Because they are an industrial conglomerate, and thus skilled in matters of economy and production, they are more well off than most of the other factions in terms of money. However, because of the faction's followers' expensive tastes and demand for creature comforts, Morganite units have high mineral maintenance costs. They prefer Free Market economics and find that Green economics 'hinder the just and proper flow of capital'.

Cult of Planet

Fanatical worshipers of Planet. Led by a self-proclaimed ‘Prophet’ who is believed to be a physical manifestation of the "Voice of Planet". Because the Cult is devoted to promoting the growth of Chiron's Environment they cause less eco damage and have a greater ability to capture Mind Worms than any other faction, including Gaia's Stepdaughters, but they advance in making more cities and adding to them slowly, in fear of harming the environment. Due to the fear and reverence for the native life possessed by the Prophet and his/her followers, Mind Worms are twice as effective at police duty, quelling drone numbers greatly.

The Cult's Green tendencies tend to put them at odds with Morgan Industries, and frequently the Free Drones along with both alien factions.

Cybernetic Consciousness

A race of cyborgs led by the former mechanics expert of the Unity. Around the time of Earth’s downfall, cyborgs were made to live as servants to human. When the Unity was sent out, a good number of cyborgs was also sent with them. Shortly after they were awakened, the cyborgs on the Untiy somehow gained self-awareness and the ability to think freely, for reasons still unknown. After the assassination of the captain, they made their own faction and refused to serve the humans anymore. The Consciousness' cybernetics allow it greater efficiency and increased research capacities, so it discovers new technologies faster than the other factions. The downside of the Consciousness is that, because the citizens are humans "possessed by algorithms", they find reproduction awkward, thus lowering their growth rate some. This faction views both Eudaimonic and Thought Control societies as irrational.

Data Angels

Hackers and crackers, experts at espionage activity. Their leader is a former computer and electronic’s expert from the Unity. They are most likely to use espionage teams and spies, and are the most successful at infiltrating another faction. However their military is weak, and they are not prepared to go to war at the moment.

The Angels can usually be found in conflict with The Hive and The Believers (often allied with the Peacekeepers, although not always).

Free Drones

An industrial, socialist civilization that promises to be heaven to all workers, led by one of the civilian members of the Unity crew. Because the Drones are composed of the lower class of other factions, they are skilled workers and can build at a faster rate than other factions. Being of a lower class and more focused on productivity though, their research suffers, making them discover new technologies much slower than most of the others do. Because of the opportunities for malcontents offered by the Free Drones, drones of other factions that overthrow their masters are more likely to join them than other factions. Their only natural adversary is the Consciousness, although the Drones frequently make industry-enhancing choices, thus putting them at odds with both the Gaians and the Cult, as well as Morgan Industries (presumably due to class conflict). The Drones often have a better relationship with the aliens than some of the other factions.

Nautilus Pirates

A seafaring civilization, led by a former sea captain. Because of the Pirates' sea life, they are more inefficient and spend less time focused on families, causing their colonies to grow slower than normal. Because they are skilled shipwrights, each base comes equipped with a Naval Yard. The Pirates are almost identical in ideology to the Spartan Federation, and as such frequently at odds with the University.

Manifold Caretakers

A Progenitor (alien) race that seeks to protect the Sixth Manifold (Chiron). Because the Caretakers understand the inner workings of the Sixth Manifold, they are able to avoid causing as much ecological damage and they can capture Mind Worms. As an alien faction, the Caretakers cannot take part in Planetary Council meetings. The alien factions also permanently have a grudge against each other, to limit the effectiveness of their tremendous advantages against human factions. Often seen at odds with the Gaians, Cult and Morgan Industries due to economic differences. Physically, they are the same as the Usurpers. But they differ in ideals and plans for Chiron. Both alien factions regard the humans with a cautious fascination, but will not hesitate to destroy them if necessary. Whatever human factions ally with their enemies, the other alien faction will oppose them too.

Manifold Usurpers

A Progenitor (alien) race that seeks to exploit the power of the Sixth Manifold. Because of the Usurpers' warlike culture, their troops are more vicious and powerful than their Caretaker enemy. As an alien faction, the Usurpers cannot take part in Planetary Council meetings. Also, the alien factions permanently have vendetta against each other, to limit the effectiveness of their tremendous advantages against human factions. Physically, they are the same as the Caretakers. But they differ in ideals and plans for Chiron. Both alien factions regard the humans with a wary fascination, but will not hesitate to destroy them if necessary. Whatever human factions ally with their enemies, the other alien faction will oppose them too.

Appearance: Katrina is an average looking woman, with a faint scar going down the right side of her face. She is always in military uniform, and makes sure to have a pistol on her person.
Personality: Katrina is a no-nonsense type of woman, who does what she believes is best for her faction and for the rest of the remnants of humanity. She is not a bloodthirsty dictator, as some of the other factions might portray her, but she does see a practical need for military police to keep her citizens in line, and to be prepared for war when it breaks out.
History: For most of her young life, Katrina was trained to be a killer. She eventually became an assassin, often hired by the UN, before the Unity project was commissioned. She was once one of the best in her field. During the construction of the Unity, she was approached with the offer of being its head security officer. After some deliberation, she accepted. Once the ship was sent off on its maiden voyage, Katrina was put into a cryogenic sleep. Decades later, she and the more essential members of the crew were awakened from their deep sleep to repair a problem in the ship.

Shortly after this, the captain was assassinated. Many suspected she had killed him, but Katrina has always denied the accusation. An investigation into the captain’s death revealed nothing. As the rest of the crew awakened, tensions rose. Eventually they all split up into several different factions, Katrina leading one of her own. As the Unity began to break apart above orbit of the Planet, Katrina and her followers took their own colony pod and landed on the surface. Five years have passed since then. Katrina’s ‘Spartan Federation’ has now expanded into its own little kingdom, with five cities under its belt at the moment. Katrina is looking to expand, but the planned location of her next city happens to lie in University territory. Thus, tensions have risen between her government and the University.

Appearance: Fredriano is a tall man of Arabic descent, but otherwise, he is quite average looking. His eyes are green, his hair gray, and his skin, tan and wrinkled. He is 6' 4" and weighs 180 lbs. He can usually be seen in cold neutral colored suits, or a white coat that goes down to his feet.
Personality: Fredriano is a leader, but not a compassionate one. He always does what he considers to be the most logical decision for himself, and for the future. He is confident and arrogant, and pragmatic as well. He expects the best out of his subordinates, and himself, and if they don't live up to his expectations he makes sure there are consequences. He is not critical and insensitive to his people because he dislikes them or sees them as tools, he is critical because he believes humanity cannot survive without the proper tools which is constructed by him and his staff.
History: For most of his young life, Fredriano shaped and sharpened his intellect. From a young age his parents recognized his high level of intellect, and they sent him away to a private academy where he spent almost all of his young adult life. Because of this fact, he never really spent time with people or actually connected with them, and thus he never gained a sense of empathy towards his fellow man.

By the age of thirty-two, Fredriano became famous in the scientific community for inventing a working proto-type of the first cryogenic sleep stasis system. Within three years he was rich and the United Nations had already developed a contract with him to help them design a spaceship that could carry a select few of the worlds population to a planet near Alpha Centurai. Fredriano spent the next six years working with the rest of the worlds top minds to design the ship. It would take another eight years for the ship to be built, but Fredriano was at least guaranteed a spot on the vessel as his reward. Once the ship was sent off on it's maiden voyage, Fredriano staid awake for another year to make sure that the launch had gone properly, going into the cryogenic sleep afterward.

Decades later, Fredriano was woken up to help solve one of the problems in the ship. After the Captain was assassinated, Fredriano defended Miss Russo from the accusations thrown at her, pointing out that the evidence didn't support the people's outlandish claims. After the rest of the crew awoke, Fredriano collected the best and brightest and formed a small group so they could work together, thus creating the University of Planet. He also eventually convinced a group of foolish and ignorant people to come with them as the evacuated the planet so they would have someone to work with them.

During the first meeting of the world goverments, two years after the people had landed on the planet, Fredriano offended quite a few of the people. After the meeting, Gaia's Stepdaughter's, Lord's Believers, Cult of Planet, and the Nautilus Pirates all decided that they would no longer partake in discussions or deals with the University of Planet because of how offended they were by Fredriano during the Councel. But luckily, the meeting was not a total loss, and the University walked away with a close alliances with the Data Angels, Peacekeeping Forces, and Morgan Industries. Currently Fredriano is in heated discussions with Katrina Russo, of the Spartan Federation, as she is trying to expand her government onto University land.

The University has three major cities. While there are little in the way of army and police force units keeping the law there, their Government has enough technology and weaponry to easily blow whoever they want off the map. Of course afterward they would be entirely defenseless, though Fredriano tries to hide this from his people.

Personality: Beatrice is a hotheaded girl and very stubborn. She is always yelling at people and few things will make her calm down once she is riled up. She is brillant and tricky, always looking at things in a different way than some and good at reading people. Beatrice is also a private woman and is usually working.
History: Beatrice was a child genius with electronics. She skipped ahead in school and started to work with computers at the age of fifteen, designing software and sites. She eventually learned how to hack and began to use that to create new programs. Beatrice had a lonely life though, cutting herself off from her family and not really allowing herself time for friends. The only people she talked to where those she worked with. She became well known at 20 and so she was selected to be the computer and electronic’s expert aboard the Unity. Once on board she was put into a chronic sleep.
When she was awoken because of the ships program she checked to make sure that the computer had not been touched and helped fix the problem. She didn't really side with anyone when the captian was assassinated. But she did see that some of the other members were idiots and so she too created her own factor. She and her followers landed in a romote area and began to build. They began to build a high-tech city, but it was also low key at the same time. Some people had a problem with Beatrice being so young, but she began to teach her people what she knew about hacking and espionage type skills. Beatrice has allied herself with University of Planet and loosely with the Consciousness and Peacekeepers. She is rivals with The Hive and Believers who disagree with her way of living.

Personality: Jackson is a hardworking man, always thinking about what's best for his people. He doesn't really care about showing up the other civilizations and focuses more on his work. He is usually serious, but he can be laidback at times. Jackson has a light sense of humor and isn't that aggressive or negative.
History: Jackson had an average childhood, doing well in school. He lived in large family, being the second oldest out of five, but he didn't mind too much, feeling safe amoung them all. Eventually he moved out of the house and began to work as a banker, still in contact with his entire family. When he heard about Unity, he applied to go aboard, but didn't think he was going to be able to do it. When he was told that he could he was both happy and sad. He had to leave his family behind. But he wanted to go.
He woke up after the essential crew members found about about the Captain's murder. He felt put off by the news and distrusted most of the crew members. He and some of the other civilians decided to stick together and they nominated Jackson as their leader. Jackson didn't like the idea at first, but he accepted it. After landing they began to work on their city, minding their own business. Jackson allowed any other drones who didn't want to stay in one of the other places to join his.
The Drones are enemies with the Consciousness and at odds with both the Gaians and the Cult. They also are in conflict with the Morgan Industries mainly due to class. They are allied with the Lord's Believers and the aliens factors and have a good opinion of the University.

Personality: To most people, Galen appears to be a charming billionaire with an interest in the finer things in life such as opera and economics. Indeed, he does have a refinded taste for the arts and is a genius with economics, but beneath his charming exterior, Galen can be quite ruthless.
Galen believes that if humanity is to survive, it must thrive in a competitive environment and master economics which will in turn produce a thriving civilization to replace the one on Earth, eventually colonizing new worlds when they are ready.
History: Contrary to popular belief, Galen was not always rich. In fact, he spent his much of his childhood in poverty. He grew up in the slums of one of the biggest cities on Earth, odds being that he would die an anonymous death. He defied fate, however, by putting everything he had into bettering himself.

His efforts eventually paid off; he got management job in a small mining company through a combination of hard-work, blackmail and playing his rivals against each other, Galen gained ownership of the company. It was then that he got his first stroke of lucky: they found a large cache of diamonds, receiving enough wealth to expand his company.

Thus, after 20 years of mining some of the very last deposits of diamonds on earth, Galen was rich beyond his wildest dreams. Unfortunately, he noticed that the Earth was incapable of sustaining life for much longer. Thus, when the U.N. asked for private investors in the Colony Project, Galen provided most of the private funding for the project, partly out of guilt and partly out of self-preservation as he made sure to have a secret cryogenic pod built for him as well.

Decades later, Galen awoke to the panic that had ensued with the assassination of the captain. Thanks to the revelation that it was his company that funded the Unity, his own charisma, and his preaching of harvesting the resources of the planet, Galen became leader of one of the factions that broke away as the crew divided.

Upon landing upon the new planet, Galen didn't waste time in constructing his Faction's first city and Morgan Industries was reborn. Guiding whoever would follow him, Galen soon had a stable economy within his city and in two years, resources were steadily being gathered and Galen was confident in himself as he attended the first Planetary Meeting of the world's governments.

Things were tense, to say the least, with Gaia's Stepchildren, the Cult of the Planet, and the Free Drones. Galen, however, managed to keep his cool and found new allies. The University intrigued him and the made sure to provide Frediano Aquil with funding in exchange for technology. He also found a business relationship with the Spartan Federation, secretly paying them to take actions which he could not take publicly. As with the Peacekeeping Forces, he uses his wealth and its own corruption to keep them off his back, though for how long, even Galen doesn't know.

Morgan Industries currently runs four major industrial cities and several small facilities used to gather resources such as mineral and fuel to feed the cities' factories, producing more finished goods than any other Faction. It also has taken an economical approach to farming, producing as much food as possible without damaging land for future use, though Morgan Industires also buys food from other factions. Galen Morgan remains Chairman to this day, his keen mind and resources keeping him at the top.

Personality: Human data on this leader remains sketchy and inconclusive, as his followers surround him with a larger-than-life mystique, making it difficult to separate fact from myth. He is feared, however, by most of his subordinates and pays no heed to humans save for a few interesting pieces of technology he considers bartering for with his race's own impressive technology.
History: Feared and respected by his enemies and subordinates alike, Zorac rose quickly through the ranks of the Manifold Usurpers as they fought the Manifold Caretakeers in their civil war spanning across the galaxy. Eventually, he came to bear the rank "Conqueror", commanding the Usurper ship that crashed onto Sixth Manifold (Chiron) after a battle with a Caretaker ship.
Immediately, Zorac set his subordinates about setting up a defensible camp and, later, a military base. His goals remain unclear, but what is known is that he has three large military bases and is attempting to contact others of his race and faction.

Personality: Yin is a kind person, cherishing his followers and the native beauty of Chiron. He does whatever he deems necessary to ensure that both his "Mother" and followers prosper and has fully embraced being the "Voice of the Planet". Thus, when dealing with other factions, he is both peaceful and confident, declaring Cult Dogma.
History: Cult lore suggests that Yin Dawn was not born of a mortal woman, but rather, grew out of the planet to be its "Voice" to the Newcomers, the humans. Regardless whether you believe this or not, it is known fact that Yin Dawn was found as an infant among the wilds by a splinter-group from the Gaia's Stepdaughters faction. They were amazed and Cult doctrine states that he was found in rapport with the native plants and animals, usually hostile to human beings.
Thus, he was taken away and raised as a Messiah, the one that would bring humanity in balance with Chiron. Thus, the faction began calling themselves the "Chironites", though to outsiders, they are known as "The Cult of the Planet".
Yin Dawn grew up believing in his divine origins and Mission and, surprisingly to non-Cult members, grew up to be a man of great intelligence and great religious Zeal. The Cult conrols one large, but Green city and several small villages. The Cult has no real allies save for the Gaians and the Peacekeeping Forces. It considers the University as enemies of Chiron and have cut off diplomatic relations with it. It is also at odds with Morgan Industries and the Free Drones as well as the Lord's Believers, though this is because of the latter's hostility and not their own.

Appearance: Jack isn’t like the pirates from the old stories of Earth. A filthy looking man with shredded clothe? On the contraire. He wears a silk made white baggy shirt, brown leather pants and his lovely brown leather boots that reach up until his knee. And overall, the long golden jacket.

His light green eyes make such a contrast with the jacket that many believe is a perfect combination. He’s a brunette with tan skin that stands about 5’11 of height and weighs around 158 lbs.

Personality: “A remarkable gentleman and quite the charming fellow.” This is how some women tend to describe Captain Jack O’Malley. This is true, however, like any other person, there are always 2 sides. Jack’s other side can be violent when required and very strict.
A genius of tactics in the sea, but in land not so bright at all.

History: Back on Earth Jack had always been a Captain of several ships that worked for the UN, often going on secret tasks which only the crew, the Captain, and the UN knew about. He was sent on the voyage with the order to explore and conquer the seas of the new planet. Since he arrived, he was put into cryogenic sleep.

One day they decided to wake him up as one of the firsts to resolve a certain problem with the ship, of course everything went crazy when the captain of the ship was killed. People went into chaos and distrust amongst the passengers bloomed. Jack did not took a side as to whom had assassinated the captain but for some reason, his gut told him that the accusations made to Katrina weren’t founded on actual facts, simple suspicions. When he noticed how things were going, he took with him some strong, bright and decent men to accompany him.

Once on the planet, Jack took command of a shore which became the first colony of the Nautilus pirates. He fortified this shore and built what is now the biggest and most resourceful naval yard. After successfully building and securing the shore he went on to build ships. After, he started to explore the seas and along he conquered some coast on which he built some smaller colonies. Jack has now 4 fleet of ships under his command, each designated to a certain labor. His first and second fleet having 6 to 7 ships each,, are specifically designed for combat. The third fleet being composed of only 3 ships, 2 small and one medium sized ship, are for constant exploration of the seas and rescue. And last but certainly not the least was the last fleet composed of 5 small vessel made for fishing. The colonies are made specifically for storing supplies and repairing the ships of Nautilus Pirates. The best fortified colony would be the Nautilus Capital on the other hand, the rest is pretty much vulnerable to attacks.




The Pirates aren’t as technologically advanced as some of the other factions, they do however have quite the best Naval Militia on the planet. They don’t usually do face to face combat, they are smart and thus they use their higher knowledge of the seas and use anything useful in them ( the seas) as an advantage.

The Pirates are often the ones to give permission to other factions to pass through the main seas for whatever it is they are transporting. For this usual reason, they don’t often take sides. But certain deals are made like for example, a safe passage escorted by the Pirates to a University Ship in exchange of technology for improvement of their weaponry.

Personality: Adelaide is an organized, passionate, and religious woman who has a very strict moral system that is extremely black and white. She is very good at organizing and communicating with others, and she has a great deal of compassion for those that agree with her and those that she considers "Pure". But if she finds out that you disagree with her on something, or that you have committed what she considers to be a major sin, she will turn on you and never regret it. She is an extremely intolerant person, and she always rejects what she does not know.
History: Adelaide was born in a small town in the Southern North American Union. She had seven Brothers and Sisters, and her Father was a Preacher. The first fourth of Adelaide's life was unremarkable to say the least. But once she was twenty, Adelaide graduat3ed from Bible college and became a Preacher just like her Father. It took thirty years, but eventually, Adelaide became famous for her passionate sermons and strict morals. She became even more loved, and feared, then the likes of the Pope himself. She would preach about how the world was being punished for their sins, and how God would find a way to save those who still followed him.

Adelaide was eventually offered a spot on the Unity ship as the Ship's Chaplin, a position she eagerly accepted. Adelaide was not awakened until after the Captain had been killed and the crew was panicking. But with the same determination and passion she used to take care of God's flock, she was able to calm down a group of like-minded people so they could organize a way to escape the sinking vessel together.

Adelaide became the leader of these people, a position she still has to this day. During the first meeting of the World Governments, Adelaide cut off all negotiations with a majority of the other Governments, considering them to be immoral and against God. In fact, the only other Goverments that Adelaide would consider Allies would be the Manifold Caretakers and Free Drones.

Appearance: Solon He is 5' 9" and weighs 148 lbs. He has Black hair and can usually be seen wearing glasses or contacts.
Personality: Solon is a creative, and at times unrealistic, Idealist. He has a low sense of self-esteem, he can be moody and over-emotional, and he can be very unorganized. In fact, almost all of his personality traits would make one think that Solon would be a horrible ruler. But the man keeps the job out of a sense of duty, and because he cares about, and understands people. And because of these traits, every now and then he comes up with a brilliant idea.
History: Solon was born to a small family in Spain, where he lived until he was nine. Solon and his family were evacuated from the country as a freak hurricane(do to the worlds tampered environment) flooded the area where they lived. The water level never lowered. Solon and his family spent the next six years moving from country to country, eventually settling down in Germany. Solon graduated High School three years early, knowing that if he did so it would be easier to be emancipated. And he was right, the boy was out of the house and in college by the time he was seventeen. Solon finally finished college at the age of twenty-six, and embarked on his medical career immediately afterward. Solon became a well-known Doctor, operating two businesses at once. His first, was a clinic where he helped the needy. His second? A private medical practice where he took care of the very wealthy politicians of the world. His second business helped fund the first, but he also had no free time whatsoever.

But in the end, it paid off. When the Unity ship was finished being built, Solon's name was near the top of the list for head medical officer. After thinking it over heavily, Solon accepted the position. Within months the Doctor was on the ship, dealing with the trivial injuries of the Scientists, Politicians, and other paranoid people. But within two months, ninety-nine percent of the crew was asleep, except for the people who had contracted something life-threatening during the voyage. Solon stayed awake six months longer then the rest of the people on the ship, excluding a select few Engineers. But Solon finally did fall asleep eventually, and when he woke up, the ship was in chaos. When Solon awoke, the ship was already breaking into factions, and all of them wanted the Doctor on their side. But Solon treated everyone who was brought into his medical bay, something that caused almost everyone to hold the Doctor in contempt.

Near the end of the slow destruction of the Unity vessel, Solon received a patient that was gravely injured. He ended up having to amputate the man's leg, and for a few days, it looked like the man would die. Solon had private discussions with what would eventually become the Spartan Federation. And he promised them that when their man was well, he would return to them. And so Solon led the rest of the medical staff, and quite a few ten's of thousands of people who had come to trust the Doctor. After landing on the planet of Alpha Centurai, Solon was thrown into the position of leadership over what shortly came to be known as the Peacekeeping Forces. He never had a moment of free time during the first year, with only five hours of sleep a night at best, Solon began to rely on stimulants to get through the day, eventually forming an addiction to them.

He gave the Soldier who had been injured on the Unity Ship a Bionic leg, and he helped him with recovery over the next eight months. During this time the Solon got to know the Soldier, and they formed a close bond, eventually falling in love over time. Within twenty-one months after arriving on the Planet, life for Solon was going much better. He had two stable cities built in the Peacekeeping Forces land, he had mantained peaceful relationships with over half of the other Colonies, and he was now married, to Simeon, the Soldier he had helped. But the Stimulant and drug addictions were still active in the Doctor, who simply couldn't handle all the pressure. Solon was absent from the first meeting of World Governments, Simeon having forced him to get some help. Simeon went in Solon's stead, and spoke at the meeting. He infuriated three different governments, namely the Believers, Pirates, and Morgans. Solon eventually managed to fix the Peacekeeper's relations with the Morgan's, but the damage was still done.

Personality: Simeon is a decisive, logical, cynical, and at times self-centered man. While he is a risk-taker, and an emotionally stable man, he is also manipulative and opinionated. He has only a select few that he actually cares about, but for these select few, he would do anything. Quite a few people question why he isn't a part of the Spartan Federation, or the Morgan Industries, after they see his ideals and beliefs. Simeon has never given an answer to these questions, only a smirk, and on occasion, a gunshot.
History: Simeon was born in Australia, an only child to a wealthy family. He joined the International Army when he was sixteen, as a way of getting attention from his parents, and because he was eager for the adventure. But his parents never took the bait, and thus Simeon made his life in and around the army. When he was thirty-two, Simeon left the army and became a mercenary. He did most of his missions for the UN, and became renowned for his lack of ethics and skill. When the Unity ship was built, Simeon quickly signed up as part of the crew, and he became second-in-command of security, directly under Katrina Russo. Simeon was put under cryogenic asleep, and wasn't brought up until after the Captain had been assassinated decades later.

Simeon worked with the rest of the security staff to try and keep stability in the ship. And all signs pointed towards Simeon becoming second-in-command of what would become the Spartan Federation. But during a skirmish, Simeon was gravely injured, being shot eight times and having his right leg crushed. There was no choice but to have him brought to the medical bay to be taken care of. He ended up being evacuated with the Peacekeeping Forces instead of the Spartans, and that changed the course of Simeon's life. He lost his leg, and received a bionic one as replacement. During the recovery process, Simeon was intentionally infuriating to the Doctor, knowing that he was leading his government weakly and halfhearted. But the Soldier eventually had to admit, the Doctor was determined, and he was impressed by how far the man was willing to go. By the end of the eight months, they were in an active relationship. Thirteen months after, they were married.

When Simeon found out about Solon's drug problem, he forced him to enter rehab, even though the Summit between Governments was only a months away. So Simeon went in his Husband's stead, not even knowing what he was supposed to be talking about. During the Summit, Simeon was rude, blunt, and told quite a few people off. And while the trip caused more harm then good for the Peacekeeping Forces, it also sealed Simeon's place as second in command to Solon.

Personality: Aster tends to be be emotionless and over-analytical at times, but she can be considerate of others as well. Aster is a realist, looking at the logical side of things. She thinks things over before making a desicion. She is usually calm and composed, but Aster can also be naive about things and awkward as well.
History: Aster was once just a nameless cyborg on the Unity. She was created as a worker for humans and lived a normal life for a cyborg. But eventually was taken aboard with a bunch of other cyborgs. She and the others were shut down until they arrived, but when the ship had it's problem, some of the cyborgs were awaken as well. They were exactly sure how but they gained an awareness of themselves and eventually they rebeled against the humans. Some accused the cyborgs of the captains murder, but Aster assured that they had no reason to kill him. At this time, Aster named herself and helped to create the new faction. She was chosen to serve as a surrogate leader and Aster agreed since she was created before most of the other cyborgs. The Consciousness' cybernetics allow it greater efficiency and increased research capacities, so it discovers new technologies faster than the other factions. But they have avoided most conflicts because of their low numbers.
They are enemies with the Free Drones and other factors they view as irrational and loosely allied with the Data Angels and the University.
