After finishing her shower, Lillian retrieved her coffee, putting it in a thermos for her drive to work and grabbed her lunch. She forewent her usual gym outfit as it was the first day of school, and driving to school her azure eyes kept flicking to the time.

Naturally, she had plenty of time, though she was more conscious of how long the day was going to be. Taking a sip of her coffee, she caught the weather forecast for the day, changing the station right after "cold and rainy."

It was a relatively short drive, of which even in the morning light she could see it was indeed about to be a rainy day, and pulling into the school parking lot, she was greeted by some of the staff.

Melissa got dressed and smiled at herself in the mirror. She looked over at her messy bed, a small frown appearing. It was lonely sleeping by herself, but she had to. Sleeping with him often or even once in a while ran the risk of exposure.

Still Melissa smiled again knowing she would get to see him and talk to him today. She headed downstairs and off to school.
---------
Davis stood by his locker. After memorizing his new combination and practicing it, he wasn't sure what to do now. Not many people were here, but they soon would be. Including her. He knew they didn't share a homeroom and the desire to flee to it bubbled up again. He knew if he saw her she would hug him. And kiss him.

And Davis wasn't sure if he wanted her too.

Franklin

After breakfast was over, and his Nieces has gotten their things ready for school, they all piled into the family car and Franklin began to drive them to school. It would be another long day, Frank knew, but it would be worth seeing Melissa later today. All he needed to do was get through eight or so hours of teaching these teenagers about things in history they didn't even care about...

School was the last place any self-respecting teenager wanted to hurry to, but the one thing most teenagers hated more than school was staying late for attention, so John found himself running up the steps and into the school. There was still some time before class, enough for him to get to his locker and maybe chat with Kathleen. He smiled at the thought.

Maybe he'll take her somewhere nice this Friday. Wherever she wanted to go. His mom gave him an advance in his pocket money after his boss cut his hours. He fiddled with his locker's combination, finally banging on it to open the metal casing. He grinned slightly. Banging fixed any inanimate object, from TV's to school mashed potatoes way past their expiration dates.

Natalie pulled up to the building in her red convertible. She was wearing a tight silver sequin shirt with one sleeve, and a black mini-skirt. She grabbed her purse after she parked and headed into the school for another boring day of class.

-----

Abby made it to school with just enough time to get to her locker and then make it to her first period class. She hopped of her bike as soon as it stopped and quickly chained it up. She walked quickly into the building and made a B-line for her locker. She had History first period, then Math, then Gym before lunch, followed by English and Science, and an art class.

Davis jumped as he heard someone bang a locker near to him. He looked down the hallway and saw a boy.

"Having trouble with your locker?"

Davis silently cursed himself because not only did he need to head to class, but he was finding himself checking the boy out. Davis looked back into his locker, trying to get those thoughts away.

(You may join. And everyone should be in homeroom right now)

Davis looked around the classroom. He kind of missed the middle school. It was smaller and he knew most of the students here. Now as a freshman he only knew his class. He hoped to get through the year without too much trouble. Davis didn't like to be bullied and if people knew...

Davis shook his head. No he wouldn't say it. Wouldn't think it. Because it wasn't true.

((I'll try not to go too far in-depth with my character's histories, if that is alright.))

Username: ConfusedShipper123
Name: Damir Pax
Age: 18
Appearance: Somewhat wavy dark brown hair, midlength for a guy. Dark blue eyes, and slightly tan. He dresses in his work uniform[s].
Grade/Subject: (subject is for teachers)12th.
Secret: (undiagnosed) PTSD, narcotics addict
History: Three years ago, Damir and his family were in a terrible, deabilitating, and fatal car accident, which killed his mother, and severely injured his father and himself. His father is still in the process of recovering, while Damir was forced to take on the role of provider and caregiver as soon as he was well enough and old enough to work. He attempts to maintain class attendance, but has found this to be very difficult, considering dropping out many times. The stress has been taking a toll on him significantly more lately, and his focus has been next to none, as he has been having disturbing and violent flashbacks and nightmares of the accident. Sleep has also been evading him, and not only because of work. And, to his horror, he's been finding that he's been using more and more pain meds, as he finds that they seem to be the only thing that relieve him from, not only physical pain, but the nightmares and the flashbacks.
Other: However long ago, he had a relationship with Nyckie during middle school, and, in spite of his distress over financial necessity, has been searching for sources of his drug within the high school.

Username: ConfusedShipper123
Name: Nicole "Nyckie" Dayton
Age: 18
Appearance: Highlighted honey-blonde hair, and wide green eyes. She is somewhat tall, and rather thin. Nyckie is meticulous about her clothing, makeup, and hairstyle. She is athletic, but her confident outside is beginning to give way.
Grade/Subject: (subject is for teachers) 12th
Secret: Eating disorder (combination of anorexia/bulimia); to be revealed
History: Nyckie has always had a very tense relationship with her parents, who always expected much more of her than she felt she was capable of doing. Nevertheless, she has thrown herself into trying to meet their high expectations, not to mention those of her athletic coaches, dance instructors, and organization leaders. She has done her best to keep herself on top of everything, yet never finds that she has done enough. What's worse, is she's been keeping more than her fair share of secrets for years... at a young age, certain experiences caused her to believe many lies about herself. Deep-seated insecurity has sent her into a battle with herself and for the control of her own life. At 13, she began to limit her diet, and continued to limit her food intake until she was truly starving herself, and exercising excessively. But over the years, fear of being found out and desperation and the starving itself caused her to develop other habits. She has been bingeing on and off for the past couple of years, and is currently caught in a cycle of bingeing, purging, and starving, and the toll of her disorder is beginning to become dangerously clear.
Other: Was once in a relationship with Damir during middle school, but hasn't had a real conversation with him in years.

Username: ConfusedShipper123
Name: Tristan Corre
Age: 16
Appearance: Longish light brown hair, and blue eyes with the appearance of sleep-deprivation or high-ness, the majority of the time. He generally dresses very casually, and has the stereotypical appearance of a "burnout"-type.
Grade/Subject: (subject is for teachers) 10th
Secret: Drinking, drug use
History: Like Damir Pax, he has an entire NaNoWriMo novel based on his life. Eventually. Tristan has never been the most honorable person, but if there's anything he's valued in his life, it's loyalty. He never betrayed his friends, regardless of the idiotic things they all participated in, even as a kid, committing to dirt-eating dares and Sharpie sniffing. His family had led an average and quiet life, right up to the point where his father revealed his betrayal--an affair with another woman from his work. His parents divorced as quickly as possible, his mother wanting to get away from him as quickly as possible at first, and Tristan was sympathetic to her anger and flight. But his anger and bitterness toward his father and his now-wife, and sometimes, even his five-year-old stepsister, have never ended. He usually doesn't express these things to them, however, and prefers to spend his time skipping school and avoiding home with his two best friends (down to one, as of late), crashing parties, drinking, getting high (pot), and generally joking around and slacking off. His grades are shot, and he generally does not (or attempts not) to care, putting his small, but time-consuming "social life" first.
Other: Has a friends-with-benefits relationship with his friend Teesha, who also has a history with their former friend Chris. To be elaborated on further in the RP.

Username: ConfusedShipper123
Name: Kameran Piron
Age: 15
Appearance: Kameran's light, shaggy hair is cut haphazardly, yet in such a way that one would not be able to identify her gender. She frequently wears the same rather old-looking masculine t-shirts, oversized sweatshirts, jeans, or cargoes. She is tall and lanky, and the only expressions she seems to be capable of are scowls and smirks.
Grade/Subject: (subject is for teachers) 10th
Secret: Guilt, pyromania, questioning sexuality, history of conduct disorder
History: Normalcy was but a brief period of Kameran's life. She once had a family. Once lived with her brother after their parents died; the child never expressed her feelings of guilt to him. But after the loss of parents, she began to "act out", as the teachers and counselors called it. But after losing her brother, she darkened. And just as she thought she would never get close to anyone again, she did. She made the closest friend that she'd ever made. Maybe even more than friend, though those feelings never had the chance to be expressed. Her friend was being hurt by someone else, and Kameran was determined to defend her. And her friend didn't appreciate the defense, even though it landed the scum where he belonged--the hospital (to be elaborated upon). Words were exchanged, and it was all over. Kameran spent time in juvenile detention, and was only recently released. She is now determined to keep her power and everyone else down--at this new school, she plans on refusing to make connections with anyone, and is generally manipulative or bullying. She can act genuine or even nice--but this is hardly ever her true emotion. She never stays in any given home very long, but she generally manages to stay off the streets and out of the hands of the law, to what she feels is her benefit. In spite of the association with death and loss, whenever emotions run too high, she gathers what she needs and sets fire to whatever is nearest and devoid of life--abandoned warehouses, run-down places that no one ever visits, a tree or two. Amazingly, she has still never been caught setting fires.
Other: Wears her clothes for a very particular reason.

Username: ConfusedShipper123
Name: Susan Trainor
Age: 28
Appearance: Susan has light brown eyes, and sandy brown hair to her shoulders, slightly pale, any makeup subtle, and typically dresses in a semi-casual, yet professional manner, mostly neutral colors and blues, mostly khakis, dark pants, and the occasional skirt. She is of average height, and uses a long, foldable white cane as a mobility tool, due to cortical blindness from an accident that occurred several years before.
Grade/Subject: Guidance Counselor
Secret: None. Sort of.
History: Susan was raised by a dedicated single mother, and grew up extremely studious. She was always reading, always working ahead, always doing her best to achieve, simply because she found many things fascinating. But she was also painfully introverted. This nature seemed to merit the unkindness of others, and when it became too much, rather than cave in, she sought out help from a school counselor. After receiving this help, she decided that she would like to help others in the future. Throughout her high school years, she still found it difficult to relate to her fellow students, but found that speaking with the teachers and staff was very easy for her, and grew close to the majority of those she came into contact with, even to the point where they confided in her. One teacher in particular became a very good friend--her psychology instructor. They already knew each other due to her mother's friendship with his wife. But it was not their friendship that was what Susan felt was her ultimate downfall--it was his son. A couple of years older than her, with a grating personality with a distaste for his father or mother's work, and a severe lack of investment in his own future, he was the exact kind of person whom Susan was determined to "help". And he clearly had other intentions. If there was anyone who could get into Erik's head, and perhaps make a change within him, it was her, she thought.
But she was wrong. (to be elaborated upon)
Other: N/A

"I have no secrets..."

((Cool characters, CS.))

Ashley

Ashley sat in her homeroom class, not particularly paying attention to anything at the moment. She doodled a bit in her notebook, but otherwise, she just looked around. To her slight annoyance and embarrassment, she began to imagine a few of her fellow students naked (and she had actually seen a few of the girls and boys here present naked before, especially the ones involved in sports). Her gaze eventually went over to Davis, whom she quickly blushed at and looked away, hoping he hadn't noticed. Even if he was her.....w-well, it still didn't feel...appropriate to her, imagining him.....

Man, she was a hypocrite.

Kathleen

Kathleen sat in her homeroom, like her sister a few classes over, not particularly paying attention to what their teacher was saying. She did, however, focus a lot on John, who happened to sit right next to her. They hadn't had a lot of time to talk before classes started, but if they were careful, they could still exchange notes in here.

Not to mention talking or note-exchanging with him or whatever helped....take her mind off of...things.

Franklin

Franklin, having already given his homeroom kids their daily announcements, had decided to give up saying anything else to them, and was currently reading a historical fiction novel as the teenagers present talked amongst themselves or did homework, or just about anything else they could get away with since he was in the room.

Since this was homeroom and all, Franklin hardly minded all the talk and all that jazz. It would be too much of a hassle to make these kids quiet. If this were his history class, it'd be another story, though. Franklin gladly admitted to being a very strict history teacher, which often earned him the ire of many badly behaving students. Still, so long as they paid attention and got their education, it was worth it.

Not to mention having Melissa in his homeroom class this year brightened the period up, for him. She was also in a later history class of his, of course, but seeing her in the morning was nice. True, they really couldn't talk without attracting unwelcome attention, but they could at least exchange secret smiles now and again...

Abigail sat in homeroom. Many of the kids were talking or texting friends in other classrooms. She couldn't help but notice how many phones were laying unattended on desks while their owners were chatting, or how many Mp3 players and wallets and things were tucked away in purses on the ground. She turned away and went through her schoolbag, pulling out her Ipod and very nice headphones that she had "acquired" from an open locker after school several months back. She slipped on the headphones and tried to focus on other things as she waited for the bell. She looked forward to history, their teacher was strict, but at least she actually enjoyed history.

(Accepted CS. Now Ariel has more people to sell to)

Melissa looked up from her desk and smiled at Franklin. She wanted to talk to him, but she didn't want to draw unnecessary attention. Besides it was too early in the year to be labeled teacher's pet.

Melissa wrote something down on a piece of paper that said:

I'm free this weekend. I found a new place that I scouted out this summer and no one from the school goes there. It's a little way out, hut I think you'll like it. Also I like your tie. Wonder why? Oh I bought it of course!

<3 Mel

PS: Sorry if I fall asleep in class. History is not my favorite subject. XD Kidding.

She then stood and walked up to his desk. "Mr. Parkinson I was thinking of doing an extra credit assignment for History, you know how it is with Colleges. I was wondering what you thought of the subject."
-----------
Ariel sat in the back flipping through her texts. She had already gotten a few offers, mainly from her usuals. There was one from anew person and Ariel smiled. It seemed that business was going to be fine.
-----------
Davis looked around the room and spotted Ashley a few desks away. He waved shyly at her not noticing her flusture face. He was still flushed himself from checking that guy out.

((Thanks Magus! And yes she does!))

Damir

Damir found it difficult to keep his eyes open as he stumbled through the hall, approximately 20 minutes late to homeroom. He wasn't exactly sure. Two hours of sleep was not nearly enough to be functional in any way whatsoever. But for some reason, no matter how exhausted he was, he could only lie in bed for those few hours he had between jobs. Staring at the ceiling, or with his eyes closed. It did not matter whether he did either--he could still see it all. Vividly.

He found it hard to stand in the hall, when the images came to his mind... when the nightmares replayed themself. First the tires screeching, deafening metal crunching, the side of the ditch as the car began roll...

"Excuse me, is there something wrong?" a concerned tone barely making it through the scene.

It took a couple of moments, but the woman beside him finally registered.

"Hm? Oh... oh, um... no... it's... nothing. I just... I'm late for class," he mumbled to the counselor.

"Yes, you are. Are you sure there's nothing wrong?" she replied.

"Yeah..." Damir responded, however unconvincing. "I'm going to go to class now."

He started down the hall, to his homeroom, but not before sending a particular sophomore a text.

Ariel. Resident presciption drug dealer. He tried to keep himself from thinking the obvious thoughts about such an idea, but he had the money... and it was horrible, that he was taking that money, that he was doing this at all... but there was no way he was going to make it without them. They were running out at home...

where do I meet you?

Nyckie

Nyckie was already in the gym, taking an additional course of physical activity, in spite of the lack of its requirement. She had nine classes instead of eight, with three of them at the local college. This was simply how she started her morning. First at home, treadmill, shower, hair, makeup, clothes. Then school, locker room, out of clothes, into uniform, and into the gym. There was nothing but this. When her first class was over, onto the next, lunch meetings with food pushed around by a plastic fork, tray dumped, her next class, the next, then bike to the college. Back to the school for another few meetings. Home to study and treadmill again. Scale.

It had been three days this time. She was determined to make it longer. She had to use the hunger to make her stronger. It had to drive her. She was not yet perfect. There was more, more to be done.

In her head, she saw her parents' disapproving faces at a single reported B, heard her elementary dance instructor's words. She was not good enough. Not yet.

Tristan

Tristan was satisfied to remain in the parking lot the rest of the day. Sure, it was idiotic to smoke weed on school grounds, but they'd never been caught before. They were in the spot furthest from the school regardless.

Teesha yawned.

"Do you even want to go to class today?" she said from the backseat, lazily pulling on her t-shirt.

"We'll see," he replied. "Until then..."

"Later, Tristan. We should probably go to class at least... once... today."

He sighed, sarcastically dissatisfied. Though he was. Definitely.

"Alright, alright," he said. They both finished their joints, and one could tell the other was feeling entirely prepared for the rest of the day. They took their time to cover the scent and entered the school, looking, well, high. But Tristan was pretty confident that this would be a good day. So long as that idiot Chris didn't cross them. Ironic, the word "cross". The kid had definitely lost it.

Susan

Susan had noted the emptiness of the hall as she had returned from the printing room to get her copies of a poster for an upcoming SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) event, beginning the familiar path to her office. The slow, unsteady footsteps before her, their sudden pause, and the lack of a door or locker closing seemed somewhat odd, as a teacher would have passed through with purpose, a late student concerned about his or her timing would have rushed, and a custodian generally had a cart or any other mechanisms. Sure, her curiosity could have been unmerited, and perhaps the question would be found somewhat of an annoyance, and perhaps she looked nosy. In spite of this...

"Excuse me, is something wrong?" she asked.

If the pause didn't give him away, the way he spoke certainly did.

"Hm? Oh... oh, um... no... it's... nothing. I just... I'm late for class."

"Yes, you are. Are you sure there's nothing wrong?" she replied.

"Yeah... I'm going to go to class now."

She sighed, as his steps faded around a corner, knowing she could not force him to talk with her, and Susan continued to her office.

Kameran

Kameran sat at the back of her homeroom class, glancing at all the children around her. The drunkard girl ahead of her, the ones who could not quit texting, the ones whose relationships were monotonously fake.

Meaningless. It was all meaningless.

The senior girl. She seemed to be receiving and texting quite interesting messages... and to the front of the room, she approached their advisory instructor, and then...

Her history class joke... my...

A smirk played on the girl's lips. Pointless, her relationship was. Idiotic. Taboo. But very, very obvious. She wondered if she should do something about it...

Whathasthisgirleverdonetoyou?She'sneverdoneanythingtoyou,andMr.Parkinsonhasneverharmedyouinanywayeither...

Shut up. Why should they be happy? Hm? What makes you think they deserve to have this?

She glowered a moment before forcing the smirk back on her face, and she stood, approaching the desk next to the girl.

"You really love your history, don't you?" she said, the acid in her voice carefully concealed.

There were many cute girls here, John noted. None as hot as Kathleen, of course, but he couldn't resist looking. It was one thing to cut himself off from his former promiscuous ways. It was another to put a stop to hormones that controlled his life since he was 13. Deciding to focus on his girlfriend, he looked at his side and smiled at her.

Quietly, he passed her a note.

So, does your Uncle still think I'm a menace? Wink

Natalie made her way through the halls. She knew she was late, but she had never had trouble with getting out of trouble. It was one of the many advantages she had. She knew who could be manipulated and how to manipulate them. Of course that was all the alcohol. Without her drinks she was no good. She liked herself better after a drink or two, and so she saw to it that she was always on a buzz. She stopped in front of a glass display case and used the reflection to fix her hair before waltzing into homeroom.

-----

Abby drummed her fingers on the desk as a means of occupying her hands so that they wouldn't wander from her desk and into the purse of the girl next to her. That was how it was, sometimes she didn't even know she had taken something until it was already in her pocket. She didn't mind all too much that things were like this, but she knew that it was too much of a risk to try something now.

After seperating from Teesha, Tristan took a leisurely stroll to his locker, exaggeratingly slow in opening it and placing his backpack inside. He haphazardly grabbed a random notebook, and drew his single pen from the built-in shelf at the top of his locker. Papers and textbooks were scattered throughout the small space, the contents ready to leap out onto the floor. Quickly, he shut the locker door, leaning against it to ensure that it would not open, and swiftly spun his lock. He took all the time he found necessary, swaggering into homeroom with time to spare. His spot in the back of the room awaited him; it was impossible not to note the blonde with the subtlest scent of vodka upon her. Natalie, was it? He'd seen her a few times at some parties he'd crashed way back when... It was not simply the vodka he noticed, of course. There was something about that tight, one-sleeved shirt...
---
Damir continued to limp down the hall, hardly paying attention to his actual destination. This was evident when he arrived at the entrance to a classroom six doors down from his homeroom. The destination meant little to him, however. There were more important things to do today. Regardless, he turned and finally found the correct classroom, already fully populated. It was easy today, to slip in unnoticed, as everyone else seemed to be occupied with their own small worlds.

It was not difficult to spot the one he had been looking for; after the embarrassing and shameful process of tracking down a dealer, it was about time that they... "formally"... met. He drew in a deep breath and approached her. Ariel Crowstone. She was a sophomore, with a pharmacy job, known to have been using this... alternative... work to bring about a potentially positive result. He wasn't sure where he'd heard this information, but this was what he knew.

He took the seat a little ways from hers, and wondered if she had received his text message. He felt quite painfully inept at his unfamiliarity with this practice, and had a great deal of difficulty in trying to silence the guilt that was seeping through his mind.

Melissa turned to the girl who spoke to her. For a second, she panic. Did this girl know? And if she did, would she say anything. Melissa knew the girl of course, but not well.

"I like it okay, but it's certaintly isn't my favorite subject," Melissa said, smiling at Kameran. She tried to remain calm. She didn't know. Melissa had to believe that or at the very least that Kameran wouldn't say anything.
--------
Ariel smiled at her cellphone. She was proud of it. Using her drug dealer money, she had bought herself a nice model. Her parents believe she had saved months to buy it. It took her a week to get the money. Of course she did have a lot of customers.

Damir nearly leapt at the vibration of his phone in his pocket. Had he not set it on silent? He put his hand to his forehead with his elbow on the desk, as he slipped his phone into his other palm, glancing at it beneath the cover himself, as he hunched over to see it.

The playground by the swings. Be there at 9

He released a breath that he hadn't realized that he was holding. His heart was racing at the idea of it all, of this decision he was making, of all the wrongness in the entire situation, and yet... how he simply could not imagine going on without this. Not for much longer. Everything was running out at the house, everything...

---

Kameran smiled back, honestly as possible. "Oh, I'm sure. You do seem to spend a whole lot of time with Mr. Parkinson here, though. You're just a great achiever. That's good trait, that drive. Well, I was just going to see if I could grab something in my locker before class," she said, turning toward the teacher as she concluded her words. There was something sickeningly satisfying in her discomfort. She could tell that she was pushing her...

Youknowshedoesn'tdeservethisandwhydoesitmatterifshe'shappyornotorifanyoneelseis...

SHUT UP! Just shut up... I know what I'm doing... I don't care, I don't care, and I know it, I know that all of this is pointless... might as well let them know...

She thought to the gasoline in her current home's garage. Of the matches she'd stolen and stowed away in her travel bag, from the last place. They needed to see it, they did. This was all an aimless game... their lives meant... nothing.

Because they were so easily stolen.

Tristan

Tristan eyed the dealer across the room. He began to wonder about him and Teesha's stash, and if they'd have enough for the weekend. And for the party coming up. It was getting a little tiresome, meeting up on the hill everyday. As exciting as it was. And as "stimulating" the conversation was. "Was" being the operative word. Chris just pretty much screwed all that. Sure, he had a stupid, pure little reputation to re-establish. Since his parents busted him.

They'd never mattered to him, Teesha and Tristan had collectively decided. So if that's how he was going to act to them, they'd just have to get back. Somehow...

He glanced up at the clock. Just a few minutes to 9. He whipped out his phone and sent a quick text to Teesha, telling her that he'd prefer to get out for the day. There were better things to do.

"Th-thank you," Melissa said, looking down at her feet. She was feeling uncomfortable standing there and she looked at Franklin to answer her question, so she could go and sit down. "I just want to get into a good college."
----------
Davis looked over at Ashley. The seat in front of her was empty and so he slid into it, as he turned to face his girlfriend.

"Hey Ash," he said, smiling nervously at her. He wasn't sure why he was nervous. It wasn't like she could read his mind. See his dirty thoughts about his male classmates. Still he felt like he was betraying her even thinking that way.

((Would we be able to timeskip soon?))

Nyckie

Nyckie glanced up at the clock, coming to the realization that class would be starting soon. She did her best to ignore the lightheadedness as she jogged down the stairs back into the locker room. No one was around quite yet; it would be fine to shower, just rinse off. Even if she was sweating, even with sweatpants and shorts on, a t-shirt and zip-up sweatshirt, she was freezing. How did that work?

She silenced all the words of health textbooks and psychology courses and all the rumors and the media; it wasn't as though she was in denial, she told herself. It was simply that the rest of them did not understand...

Cautiously, she began to strip down, quickly stepping into the shower, seeing but a blur of herself in a mirror before entering. The warm water ran down her back, and she felt like she could finally breathe without shivering.

Susan

The day was filled with plans, though the counselor knew the unexpected student could drop in at any given moment. That's what she was here for. Or, that's what she hoped for, in the very least. Susan was not oblivious to the many issues dealt with by the students at this school. But it seemed that most were very tight-lipped about such things, very fearful of bringing them up, making them real. Seeking the help that they needed. It was a natural inclination. And students and staff alike were not fond of disrupting the "normalcy" of the school, with all of its problems.

There was so much to do, so many problems needing support and solution, but the first step was always admitting... she could only hope that someone would have that sort of breakthrough soon.

It wasn't as though there weren't students that she saw on a regular basis; there were. But they were few and far between. And the majority of them came unwillingly.

Her hand was on the phone, waiting for the call, from a teacher, a parent. For a knock on the door. It was just another day...

Kathleen

Kathleen read the note John passed her, and giggled lightly when she saw it. She quickly wrote him back,

"Yes, but you know the way he is. At least he's giving us space now, compared to how he acted when we first started dating."

Ashley

"Hey," Ashley echoed with a faint blush, glancing at Davis for a moment before looking away. Ugh, it was hard for her not imagine him....well....

Ugh, she was such a hypocrite. If she was really that tempted to know what he....looked like, she should just go ahead and install a camera into his room, or something.

"How's it going?" she asked.

Franklin

Franklin stared at the retreating student, a bit unnerved by what she said. Did she....suspect? Hm. Well, he'd have to keep a...close eye on her, for sure.

"Um, well, yes, an extra credit project sounds nice." Franklin said, after a moment. "What would you like to do it on?"

Kameran took this as a cue to pick up her backpack, too impatient to wait for the actual bell to ring, and walked out of the classroom. She knew it had been unmerited, tormenting that girl. But she knew she'd continue to do it. She had to... she was just so nice. Perhaps she would have said some amiable words to her previously, but that would not have mattered to Kameran regardless. Friendship was far from what she sought. Any sort of companionship was the last thing on her mind.

She only wished for things to be easier for them all.

"...Can't you see what you've done?! You're psycho, you're insane!"

"I was only trying to protect you! Couldn't you see what
he was doing?! He was_"

"No... No, I didn't NEED your protection, I didn't need
anything, Kameran!"

"Natalie, I... He...
hurt you, Natalie."

Her arms dotted with bruises, the small brunette used her little strength to push Kameran away.

"Don't ever come here again. Don't."

The door slammed in her face. Kameran drew out a sketchbook, the pages already stained with contrasting marker art, panels and panels of a dark-cloaked figure walking through burning towns. And with this, she stole away through a back door.

---

Damir noted the time, and prepared to head to his destination. The swings. A couple of blocks away. Sighing, he started into the hallway at a time which would give him enough time to arrive at such a location. He felt increasingly uneasy as he approached. The money was prepared. He wondered briefly if he had ever seen her at an actual pharmacy. They'd gone to several...

Significantly faster and more adept at such situations, he found Ariel already at the swings. He could not help but question what her opinion of him might be at this time. If she knew about him previously, or anything of the sort. If he knew what he knew about her, then perhaps she knew something of him. Not that he'd done anything of note in the past three years, other than hardly ever staggering through the halls, and barely showing up to class. It was only the reasoning that people noted.

He almost wished he would have made more friends at the school before it, that he had more people to miss and mourn with. He was the second part to a diadic family. And that was all he was. Along the road, came a familiar-seeming vehicle. He nearly froze entirely. The thoughts invaded his mind, and he couldn't keep them from him...

Focus, focus... that's... not what's happening right now...

"So... how much is this going to cost, exactly?" he asked, far too long after standing there, and far too quickly. He desperately wished this would be done with fast. It was probably best that he'd go home afterward... He still wasn't there, entirely. He could hear the sounds...

Ariel looked up from where she sat on the swing. Her messenger bag was hanging a little low to the ground and would sometime hit her legs. She had a good amount of drugs in the bag. As Damir approached her, she stopped swinging and looked at him.

Ariel didn't need to know too much about her customers beyond business information. And as long as they paid and didn't rat her out or try and steal from her, Ariel didn't bother too much.

"Depends," she said, starting to swing again. "What and how much?"
-----------
Melissa was both happy and unnerved. She looked at her locker as if it might have the answers. Either Kameran knew something or Melissa was jumping to conclusion. Melissa decided she was going to have to say something....maybe. She wasn't sure. Kameran didn't socialize too much and wasn't a known gossiper, but still. She didn't want her relationship ruined.

Speaking of that, Melissa grinned. Franklin had agreed to the date. She also decided that the Cold War sounded nice to write about.
----------
Davis stood by his locker and tried to see if the boy he saw earlier was around. He knew Ashley would be by the locker soon, but he wanted a glimpse or a conversation with the teen. Davis blushed. Maybe it would be better if he didn't come or had already left.
