Paranoia and Trust (Rated T-M, post apocalyptic RP)

(( I was inspired to startt this by the show "The Colony" about volunteers living in a fake post-apocalyptic Los Angeles))
In the year 2009, Chemical Warfare destroyed most of the planet. Those who are left survived by hiding in bomb shelters, which were built all around the world and in the largest cities in the United States such as Philadelphia, Washington DC, New York, Chicago, and Seattle. Our Story takes place in New York. It is a year later, People have formed colonies, which are smalle communities working together to survive. For the most part, colonies only let in people who have skills or knowledge or resources to help the group survive. They must be selective or else they will not make it, so those without skills are usually turned away. The other groups are thugs and marauders, who try to infiltrate or destroy colonies, and take their resources. The rest must fend for themselves. Your job as a member of this system, is to survive, or help your group survive by any means nessecary. You can decide as a group what you will and won't do.



The Central Park Colony
This Colony decided to use Central Park as their refuge, as animals and plants were not affected by the chemicals. They are the most advanced colony, having made shelters mostly in the trees. They have a water filtration system, and a clothes washing and showering system. They also have the least amount of security, counting on the fact that they live above the ground to protect them. They are also the most likely to accept new members if they seem trustworthy and are prepared to follow their conduct rules.

The Warehouse Colony
This Colony was formed when they all moved into an abandoned shipping Warehouse, They have a showering system and the best defense, but they are the smallest colony and turn away the most people because of their limited food supply

The Times Square Colony
This Colony decided to take residence throughout a few stores and office buildings in Times Square. The Times Square colony is like the middle man, They heave good security and good resources, but not the best. The usually accept people but have a pretty strict code of conduct to be followed.

The Canal Street Marauders
These Thugs are the lowest of the low, everybody fears them. They have weapons, and a large group. They like to attack colonies, and steal their food. They have better weapons than most gangs but they lose the element of surprise.

The Shadow Gang
The Shadow gang is a bunch of sneaky thieves who cause some kind of distraction, then sneak in, and take food and other utilities from the colony, and sneak out before anybody can stop them. They alos tend to attack loners on the streets, for whatever reason they may see fit to attack. They have no morals, they do what they like for their own pleasure.

2. Cursing and violence are allowed, but don't make us lose our lunch. If you want to kill somebody, you must get their permission first.
3. Shipping: You can ship, but don't be unrealistic.Also, nothing too graphic please.
4.Remember, you need to try an rebuild with your colony. You can't just be hanging around doing nothing.
5. If you are a loner, you can try to join as colony, but the people who are in that colony will decide whether or not you get in depending on their rules and mentality.
6. Please, we need people who are accepting and people who aren't accepting, so that it causes more of a debate if a loner comes knocking on the door.

Yeah. Ironically enough I just re-watched the Mad Max Trilogy, so I will probably make a character similar to Max

Personality: Joshua is a calm, but suspicious and pragmatic. When encountering any conflict, he prefers a reasonable solution for both sides, but gets quite angry when someone tries to screw him or his friends over. Personality: Mischievous, blatantly selfish, and small for his age, Tom sees life as one big adventure. He knows how to take care of himself and cares for few people other than himself.

Inventory: Various goods he's scavenged, maps of his own creation, papers, pencils, and a powerful hand-gun that hurts his shoulder when he fires it.
Other: Tom is a scavenger and a thief. He can find pretty much anything in New York and sells it. He's also a quick runner and can fit through small spaces and has quite a few hide-outs throughout the wasteland.

Appearance: Extremely large, about 8’ 11’’ 1195, heavily muscular with hardened bones; veins are prominent against thick, ghastly pale skin; the legs are somewhat underdeveloped, but still muscular, whereas the upper body, primarily the arms, are longer. The arms are used to support the weight, much like an ape in proportion, as well as movement; the eyes are bloodshot, irises are a yellow color, spikes arcing off and almost bleeding into the red; a heavy, powerful maw is outlined by dry, bloody lips.

Personality: Primal. Has long since been stripped of abstract concepts, such as war, money, and community; The only thing left of its humanity, is its base need to survive, as well as its basic recognition of items, specifically food; easily startled, leading to a destructive rage—very common amongst mutants. Uses a very simple intellect to make armor out of car parts and scrap metal, haphazardly strung together with chain.
Colony/Gang:

History:(Optional) N/A. Only fragments remain of a bright light in the distance, and then pain. This singular memory fragment often leads to blind rage brought on by so much as blinking light bulbs, and car alarms; long forgotten streetlight with the faintest trickle of power are also victim to this rage.

Inventory: Makeshift armor made from car parts and scrap metal, any blunt objects for weapons, usually heavy pipes.

Other: Mutant; Inhuman strength, inhuman endurance. Mutants tend to be avoided, even by the most bad-ass gangs, as any conflict with one, often attracts others, overwhelming them quickly. Not all mutants are the same shape or size, but there tends to be trends of adaptations. This is only an example of one type.

"Alright, listen, Sweety, we are looking for a colony today, those street gangs are getting way out of hand,and I'm not getting separated from you ever again." She told the young girl who was riding on her shoulders at the moment. The girl looked down at her and nodded.
"Now, you put on your bravest face, we're going to start in Central Park, then we'll try Times Square. If they don't accept us, at least we can con some food out of 'em like we did those boys back on Long Island, okay?"
Another nod.

Autumn smiled, and made her way past the overgrown and deserted Rockefeller Center. It wasn't long until they made it to Central Park. Autumn set her sister down and kneeled in front of her, holding her arms.
"Brave face remember, Maria?" She asked. Maria stiffened up and made a stern look. Autumn smiled and brushed the tangled hair out of her sisters dirty face. She stood up and cupped her hands over her mouth.
"Hello?! Anybody up there?!" She called to the vast wooden fort in the trees above. She knew the only way up was if they trusted her and sent a ladder down.

They were brash, dirty and mohawked. They rode upon steeds of metal and rubber. They were demons of the wastelands. They were the dark scavengers, ruled by no man. They chased their prey like wild beasts......

Their prey was a red 1967 Pontiac GTO driven by a Warrior of the Road. He held the wheel like a master scribe holds a pen. The gritty rock of the Japanese GUITAR WOLF blasted proudly from his speakers.

He drew closer to the Rockefeller...or what was left of it anyway. He noticed them barely in time.
"SHIT!" He shouted as he spun the wheel. The GTO turned sharply and drifted to a stop, less than a few yards from the girls.
He slid out of the open door smoothly, raising his firearm, a 12 gauge sawed off buck shot towards the thugs.
"Stand back" He told the two in a stern, strong voice that held a hint of calm.
As soon as two of the thugs got close enough, he let loose both shots, killing them both insistently.

Three left now, all on Harleys. Sean put his shotgun into his leather leg holster. from his back he drew a Nordic Short sword. From his right hip, a Japanese Katana.
The three Hokuto No Ken style bandits drew their own weapons as they stepped off their steel steeds. Axes and Sledgehammers were their archaic weapons of choice.
Sean waited for them to attack first.
Sledgehammer was the first. He roared loudly and stupidly. Sean spun his Celtic sword in his hand then swiftly and elegantly twisted and side stepped Sledgehammer. There was a swift upward slash from his Celtic blade and Sledgehammer's over-sized arms and head were no longer attached to his body.
As Sean turned to face the other two he threw the blood of his blade with a quick slash.
"Next?" he growled.

Before Sean could do a damn thing two arrows hit both thugs, killing them.
He turned to the Rockefeller Center
'KENKA ROCK!' Guitar Wolf yelled from the GTO's stereo.

Fawks stood like a tab colored version of Robin Hood, His Composite Longbow in hand. He grinned.
"Good Afternoon, Ladies and Gents."

The hulking form moved through the rubble, concrete and metal alike. One need drove it: hunger, its massive form needed food, and its nose had caught a scent. Grabbing a wrecked car by the frame, the massive mutant tossed it aside, the ensuing crash of metal against stone mildly startling him.

Shifting heavy debris out of his way, he found the objects of its search; a flickering neon sign, still lit in the daylight, marking the end of his, was a small convenience store. Tearing through the front door, casting the metal scrap away from him, the mutant shuffled through the gaping hole; his feet crushing the already shattered glass into dust.

The smell had come from food strewn about the floor, boxes, bags--anything readily accessible or easy to open. But his strength granted him what other mutants couldn't get, and grasping a couple cans from the shelf, he squeezed them, popping them open, tossing the awaiting food into him awaiting maw. Lazily chewing, loose food dripping down his chin, he tossed away the empty cans, moving on to more cans, doing the same thing.

After clearing off most of the shelf, he sluggishly moved to the back, shards of his memory poking through. The frigid air had long since died, but there was still water, in gallon containers too. Reaching through the broken glass, he pulled some out in a massive hand, tearing off the tops and gulping the contents.

From the distance, an odd noise caught his attention....

It was gibberish, but it didn't matter. Dropping the empty containers, he moved towards the noise, shuffling out of the building, his bloodshot eyes searched for the sound, spotting a fast moving shape stopping just short of two smaller forms. Moving toward the shapes a little faster, more moved toward the objects of his attention, and a small figure got out of the larger object, followed by a loud crack.

As he sped up his travel, a second crack issued from the same figure, and he moved into a rage-induced full-out charge.

Autumn snatched up her sister and stumbled backwards. Maria clung to her older sister's arms so desperately that her nails left marks on the skin. As soon as it was over, Autumn went to stand up again, but found herself focusing on a large creature speeding towards them.
"Lookout!" She shouted and pointed at the mutant. She turned and ran into central park, hid behind a rock that was near the street, but facing away from it. She kept Maria on the inside, to keep her safe.
