So I was playing Battlefield Bad Company 2. I’m running around, edging closer to the objective, when all of a sudden I hear a motorbike. My friend ran me over while crashing and destroying the objective!

I was ready for this, and so was she. We had made the adjustments. We wanted him. Today, I got a call from the hospital. I hurried there. Both of us felt his pain, as our child’s short life ended; we knew we’d feel that pain forever.

I tried to see through the darkness of this ebony night. Their cries were all around me. I stumbled through the dank, freezing room. My own cry resounded. Finally, I touched my eyes and found the tape to peel off. I was alone, until he pierced through the wall and whisked my body away.
