Come with me child
I'll take your pain away
No longer will you have to fear
Or feel this pain
Just follow me now
Into the world beyond our sight
Where reality mixes with make believe
Do not worry my dear
It will be fun
You can play all you want here
A world of dreams
Where no one is sad or hurt
You can be anything you want
Just take my hand
And I'll lead you away
From all the pain they put you through
I'll be your guide
But you must chase your own dream
I can't help you in achieving it
Only you can reach the goal
But I will be here
To help you against the wall
A wall that we build to stop failure
One that we must break down
In order to find the shining light
That our dreams will glow
Don't worry about failure
Or what they say
Here in the dream world
Lies and troubles are far behind us
But you have to believe in yourself
And really strive for the goal
Or you'll be kicked out of here
So let yourself fall and get back up
Show the world your bright smile
Dust off the words of regret
Don't even think about the struggle
Just take my hand
And let me lead you to the beginning
Of where reality mixes with dreams
And we can achieve almost anything

Being a True Hero

What are heroes?
They aren’t the people we read about
Ones who become famous
Who save lives all the time
Some silly dream or desire of a perfect person
No a hero isn’t perfect
A hero must have flaws
They must fail at times and mess up
Make mistakes
Do the wrong thing
And in the end, prove themselves
Heroes are human
So like any other human, they can’t be perfect
But I find hope in this
When they fall, they will stand back up
If they do something wrong once
The next time it will be right
To learn from the mistakes
To embrace their personal flaws
To know that they will fail at times
Only they can be heroes
Selfless, brave, giving
Troubled, nervous, wanting
These are the people I turn to
The ones I have become
Heroes who people can admire
Not because they have done something great
But because they had to work to accomplish it
Life is it’s own reward and we must be thankful
We must take the hand that is dealt and place bets
To wait for, yet ignore, when we are given a great destiny
Live with what we will all become
To be our own heroes
To know that there will be trouble ahead
But that we can face it too
What is a hero?
Just another person like me or you

Who, What, Where, When, Why and How?

What am I?
A girl? A women?
A human? Or something else?
Someone? Anyone? No one?
A mistake?

Where am I?
At home? At school?
A place I know? A place I don't know?
Here? There? No where?
Where am I?

Who am I?
A crier? A liar?
Someone who's nuts? Someone who's weird?
A friend? A lover? A nothing?
Who am I?

When am I?
The now? The then?
Living in time? Living out of time?
Past? Present? Future?
When am I?

Why am I?
For you? For them?
To be a daughter? To be a sister?
Be mocked? Be loved? Be abused?
Why am I?

How am I?
Very good? Very bad?
Am I happy? Am I depressed?
Nervous? Mad? Hyper?
How am I?

Th girl questions
People near. Nobody here.
She wants to see. She wants to know.
Asks mirror. Asks herself....
"What am I?"

Sitting on the floor
Starting to decay
Left all alone
But it is okay
I've given up
Been horribly defeated
My purpose is gone
I was beaten
I belong here
Can't leave my place
Just another object
That takes up space
I will always fail
Even if I try
Won't even mourn
My tears are dry
Sitting all alone
Waiting for a call
But you won't answer
Rather I'd fall
Slipping down farther
My climb has failed
Down I go
Course it's not fair
This is my punishment

For just being me
