So I'm preordering pokemon tomorrow. (The Heart Gold, and Soul Silver discussion thread)

With March coming up we prepare for two things. When your parents come home on St. Patties day drunk, and to challenge the Johto league and become a Pokemon Master. I'm preparing more for the latter. I noticed we have a lot of Pokemon fans on the forum, so I made this thread, just to have an open discussion about the game. There are lots of important questions to ask, but let's start with this.

Chickorita, Cyndaquil *cough* the best one *cough*, or Totodile?

I want the games. I hear there is a new character in the game. And Gold and Silver were my old favorite games. I miss playing them.

I'm finally getting my hands on a DS, with one of the older DS Pokemon games included. I didn't even know that they were making new versions of Gold and Silver (tried to stay away from DS stuff so I wouldn't get jealous). I definitely have to save up for these.

As to answer the question, Chikorita, of course! She's my third favorite Pokemon of all-time (Pikachu and Absol being the other two). I just really like her design, so much that I never evolved her on Gold.

I want these games, but I don't know if I'll have the money to afford them. Of course Cyndaquil is the best. I always liked him best when I played Gold and Silver. Totodile was my second favorite starter, because I like his design, and his evolved forms look tough.

Oh I forgot. Cyndaquil.

Well, the games come out tomorrow. Which version will you be getting, if you do get one, and aren't rich enough to afford both (Like ME!)?

What I'm looking forward to most I think is the nostalgic feeling of traversing my favorite land in the pokemon world. I'd like nothing more than to walk around Johto with my Pokemon team and take down every trainer we can. I hope the Evee sisters are still in that one town I forgot the name of, battling them was always fun. And hopefully Kanto can be explored after the Johto league is beaten.

Well I haven't picked mine up today(As I am extremely sick.), but I have already pre-ordered Soul Silver. So I can't wait to play it soon.

I got my copy, and yeah, I'm pretty sure all of those features are in. I know Kanto is. Anywho I'm loving he game so far. My team consists of the following (for now).

Iggy (Quilava)
Lyle (Furret)
Nala (Ledian)
Moses (Ampheros)
Misae (Espeon)
and Toadsworth (Poliwag BECAUSE HE REFUSES TO EVOLVE!)

I got Soul Silver, and I'm going to get Heart Gold once I have sufficiently solved Soul Silver. Also, we should do some trading via GTS some time. I have Canadian pokemans, and I know you want them. My Chatot says eh. (Not true, but it soon will be.)

I got Heart Gold for the pure unmitigated nostalgia^^ Gotta catch them all!

Currently my party consists of
Eldar (Quilava)
Archimedes (Hoothoot)
Shinigami (Gastly)
Gaia (Geodude)
Brahmanda (Togepi)
and Leviathan (Magikarp because it will all make sense at lv. 20!)

Those of you with a keen eye will probably spot that I've named all my Pokemon after mythological creatures. I'm nutty that way!

I'm getting SoulSilver for my brother's birthday. My parents got him both but he only has HeartGold (he doesn't know he has the other) so he told me if he got SS for his birthday he would give it to me.

Unfortunately, Pokemon's not my number one on my list of DS games to get. (I still haven't got Platinum yet!...not like I have every single game anyways.)

When I am ready, I'll be getting Soul Silver because just like how my first Pokemon game was Red, and I got Leaf Green instead of Fire Red to be different, I got Gold so I'll be taking Soul Silver. (Honestly, I've got enough cash ta get both...but not really, since I'm saving up for something important...don't look at me like that! Maybe I am in denial that there are more important things than Pokemon games?!)

Oh, and there are so many Cyndaquil fans here! Awesome!!! (Honestly though, I think all of the Fire starters have been my favorites...don't know why...?)
