I just thought it would be interesting if people checked to see if they had any characters that were a bit too spectacular/abused/gorgeous/talented. Could be fun to take, and it will force one to think about their characters a bit.

Here is the test

I figured I would start with the characters from the rather large RP I'm in, Rebellion.

Carlisle- 22

Kegan- 16

Katie- 15

Rhys- 18

Brighe- 20

Savina- 24
----------------------------------------

0-16 Points
Most likely Not-Sue. Characters at this level could probably take a little spicing up without hurting them any.

17-21
Probably not a Mary-Sue, although a character can go either way at this point. Fanfiction writers should pay attention to ensure that their characters aren't getting too Sue-ish. For an RPG or original fiction character, however, you're probably perfectly fine.

22-29
Some definite Sue-like tendancies here. A little polishing might be in order to put original fiction and RPG characters back into the balance, especially if Kirking is involved. Fanfiction characters should probably have some work done.

30+
Fanfiction authors beware - Mary's on the loose. There's still a chance you can save this character with some TLC, though. Role-players and original fiction characters, you should also strongly consider giving your character a workover.

36+
Fanfiction authors, you might just want to start over. Role-players and original fiction authors, at this point your characters are likely to provoke eye-rolling and exclaimations of "yeah, right!" from your readers. Immediate workover is probably in order.

50+
Kill it dead. Or make sure you read the instructions properly (some people don't do this, which causes freakishly high scores) and take the test again.

Ana (from Rebellion): 12

Casey Jewels (OC of mine): 57
^She always ends up a Mary Sue on this test... She did start out as one, in the sixth grade, but she's not anymore.

Kamilopterisa Hilwervis Niberton (werewolf OC of mine): 36
^Huh. Kami is more of a Mary Sue than Casey is. I'm surprised she got a lower score.

Well, I did my character Magnus from the pokemon RP. He got an 18, but it's still a little soon so he may become more sue-ish as time goes on.

Sedo Amnis from No Man's Land: 7

Vigo von Matise from No Man's Land: -6

Decided to do Caesar from Rebellion/Heirs for now. Looks like he's clean. I may do more later.

Did some more characters from Rebellion/Heirs.

C.C.: 35. Not all that surprising, since C.C. is basically the most powerful character aside from the god in human form. On the plus side, she gained her powers via her immortality, and hardly ever fights.

Maul: 18. Good score, overall, for Maul. I think, at least.

Rein: 8. Not all that suprising, either.

I may do Tsuba and some others later.

For my KH OCs I have:

Mircle: 36. Since she's half-heartless I assumed she would have gotten a high score but it's not that bad.

For YSW:

Agatha: -4

Kai: 2

Rebellion:
-Valen: 19

Hell Angels:
-Tahira: 13
-Flynn: 5

Wow... I've never had such a low score. Flynn's hard to talk to and is very much a loner, but I don't see him as boring. He was fun to write with.

This isn't actually my character, just a classic anti-hero. I present to you Michael Moorcock's Emperor Elric of Melnibone.

Mary Sue score - 53

2. The White Wolf
a. Emperor Elric of Melnibone
3. "It is the color of a bleached skull, his flesh; and the long hair which flows below his shoulders is milk-white. From the tapering, beautiful head stare two slanting eyes, crimson and moody, and from the loose sleeves of his yellow gown emerge two slender hands, also the color of bone."
8. See above.
10. Moorcock describes Elric as being incredibly thin and emciated, to the point where he looks pittiful and weak. He has a pretty face though.
13. On a and c, Elric's an albino.
16. Yep, mostly because his' evil psychotic sword drains the souls from his wounded enemies before they get much of a chance to hurt him. Of course Storbringer targets Elric's friends and loved ones too.
17. Of course, all the creepier and weirder to think about.
20. He's not an utter sociopath, for one.
22. Melnibonean, sort of makes him an elf.
24. Yes, thanks to Storbringer. Which he and rest of the universe learn to regret.
35. a.) Only in relation to humans. He's a saint by Melnibonean standards
47. Non-Melniboneans are awed and terrified by his power, unless they're pyschotic madmen and everyone is shocked by his ethics. Namely that he has them.
55. From Stormbringer, though he'd really rather die instead.
56. And all around good too. He also destroyed his own empire.
60. Just that his friends, loved ones, his own people and innocent bystanders suffer for it. And he dies in the end, killed by his own sword.
63. Stormbringer helps.
65. Duh. And it thinks his soul tastes good.
68. Stormbringer keeps Elric healthy and he posseses the Ring of Emperors
70. He's a Melnibonean. Do what thou wilt is the whole of law.
71. He's Emperor Elric.
72. Yes, and he's hated for being too nice by his own people. And he's still an asshole by human standards.
73. See 72 and the fact the he weilds Stormbringer.
75. Does Stormbringer count?
80. B and C. Stormbringer, again.
84. With very good reason.
87. Does his Runeblade Stormbringer count as a villian?

De-Sueifers
1. He's a Melniboenan, of course he's goin to act like a petty jerk. It's in the blood. Cut him off in traffic and he'll hunt you down to kick you in the crotch. Any other Melnibonean would have your family murdered then torture you to death.
15. Melnibonean.
